She watched his face as he saw Alex at his desk.
She watched as confusion was chased by fury at seeing her in his personal space.
Both emotions cooled as he walked to the end of his desk, his eyes ice cold as he saw Alex sprawled in his office chair.
“What in the hell are you doing in my office? More importantly, why are you behind my desk?” he ground out, reaching over her to turn off his computer.
Alex knew that tone well and smoothly moved to her feet, trying to seduce him into forgetting what had happened.
“I was just checking my email Jin,” she said, her voice husky, a bit of a pout appearing.
“Don’t you have an office for that? Or even a phone?” he snapped, gesturing for her to move.
Alex stood and came around the desk to stand by Jin, smiling up at him and coaxing him not to be mad at her.
Jin sighed a frustrated sigh and decided to ignore her.
He asked Dae how the samples turned out, was she pleased by the progress and other questions, thinking Alex would soon understand she should leave.
Dae knew Alex was not going to leave Jin until she had whatever she wanted from him.
Thinking to end the awkward situation, Dae smiled at Jin and said “I was hoping we could discuss more details at lunch.”
“Absolutely,” Jin nodded, already striding toward the door.
Before he could open the door for Dae, Alex sharply said “No!”
Both heads turned to look at her, Jin frowning, preparing to answer her harshly.
“Jin! You are having lunch with me today. It has been on your calendar for ages,” she said.
“No,” Jin said “No, I did not agree to lunch. Ms. Min!” he shouted.
The young woman entered the office, looking terrified. Before Jin could ask, Alex rushed in.
“Ms. Min. My lunch with Jin was scheduled ages ago. Isn’t that right?” Alex asked, her eyes boring into the younger woman's. After a few seconds she burst into tears.
“Yes. I am so stupid. I must have forgotten to put it on your calendar. “ she continued to bow and apologize until Jin quietly told her “Enough! We will work this out. Go calm down.”
She hurried out of the office, Alex laughing at her as she left.
She is young. You can’t be mad at her Jin,” Alex stated.
“I am not. We will reschedule lunch for another time. I will have Ms. Min call your office to reschedule one day next week.” He responded.
“Oh Jin, love! That won’t do at all. Especially since your father made the reservations himself,” Alex told him.
Jin drew a hard breath. His father intruding in this way was too much. Jin was going to have to put his foot down.
Jin glanced at Dae and saw the worried look on her face. She was thinking of the consequences for both of them if Jin refused the lunch with Alex to spend time with Dae.
She gave him a smile and a nod of understanding.
Jin clenched his fists, his nails biting into his palms.
Alex was not about to allow him any wiggle room.
She moved closer to him and played her fingers in the hair at the nape of his neck, her crimson nails wrapping around his bicep and her leg practically wrapping around his thigh.
