[discontinued] I'm Listening... (Book 4 of the Can't Say series.)

Ok so we're not necessarily halfway through the book but I wanted to post this announcement because we are a decent way in, If you haven't read all of Can't Say, Speak Up and Tell Me, I really do suggest going to read them, you're most likely confused about the plot of this book. They provide insight to the story. Go read all before this one. Now if you have, like I always say, please proceed.

They left the hospital after the bleeding and pain had subsided and they were now sat on the tour bus going straight for Ohio.

"So, what did the nurse say? "

"It happens, it's not dangerous but there was so much of it that it worried them, so they kept me overnight. "

Scott and Avi were talking in the back room about what happened yesterday, the others were playing a really loud, rowdy video game AKA GTA 5 and it was a mess. Avi was getting a headache and because Kirstie's and Mitch were laughing at the game and Kevin was paralyzed in horror, Scott was the only one who noticed how he felt and the two left for the back room.

"So you'll both be ok then yeah? "

"We should be yeah. "

"Have you and Kevin made any plans yet? Yknow. Small ones. "

"No, but I do have a scan in a few weeks. Why? "

"Nothing I was just--"

He was cut off by Avi yawning and laying down on the sofa they were sitting on. The sofa lined the wall of the room except for the wall where the door was. Scott stood up to run and retrieve the blanket on the elder's bunk before running back and laying it over him, the smaller cuddling the blanket as it was much bigger than he was. Scott leaned over him and kissed his head before walking away from him, dimming the lights so the room was lit ever so slightly and closed the door behind him. The others were still playing GTA and to their surprise, Kevin had five stars and was successfully outrunning the cops.

"Damn Kev. "

"I know. Even I'm shocked. "

Kevin didn't know how he hadn't been found by police yet but he was glad he wasn't. 

"Mitch take over!"

"WHA--"

Kevin tossed the controller to Mitch who began frantically running around the map in a surge of panic. Kevin stood up and made his way over to Scott, who had taken a seat on the couch next to Mitch, watching them both yell over the game, trying to keep Kevin's perfect streak going.

"Where's Avi?"

"Asleep in the back, I covered him up and everything so don't worry about it."

Kevin walked himself to the back of the bus, carefully opening the door to the dimly light backroom to find his lover asleep, curled up on the couch wrapped up and snuggling the blanket he was given. Kevin felt his lips twitch up in a smile as he walked over to the small man. Kevin stood over him, watching his face.

Peaceful.

He looked at ease when he slept. His nose scrunched up slightly every now and then but Kevin knew it was just one of his old habits. Honestly, the most adorable one, he looked like a bunny when he did that.

"Babe? "

He opened the eye closest to him and gave him the smile he normally gave him when he had just woken up and still in his half asleep state.

"You doing alright? "

"Mhmmm... still sleepy... "

Kevin acted upon natural impulse, he didn't know he was doing it but he picked up Avi and carried him to the largest bunk on the bottom and laid him down, Avi falling asleep instantly upon contact with the mattress. He walked back into the loung. Mitch had died, to no ones surprise and had no stars, he was playing it safe.

"Playing safe? In GTA? "

"I don't wanna be on the police radar! "

"I moved Avi to one of the bigger bunks at the bottom. He's asleep again considering I woke him to check if he was alright. "

"Doing well looking after him, Kev. "

"I guess I am. Considering the last time... "

"Yeah. I'm still mad at you--"

"As you should be. "

"But you're proving yourself worthy at the moment. "

"Yeah. Well. I'm gonna join him in bed. Night guys. "

There was a chorus of good nights behind him.

"Quit playing it safe! "

"Don't tell me what to do!! "

Kevin chuckled slightly. He walked back to the bunk room and slipped in next to his boyfriend, hugging around his waist, resting his hand on the now developing baby bump his boyfriend was sporting. Avi felt him move in next to him and turned his head to rest in the crook of his neck, it was an easy fix, his left hand making its way to rest upon the side of the tallers right cheek.

"love you. "

"love you too. "

Honestly? Cutest sight ever seen on the bus. And the fans seemed to have agreed when Esther posted a picture of them on her Twitter and the others retweeted it.
