[discontinued] I'm Listening... (Book 4 of the Can't Say series.)

It was, say about... 18:00, so 6 in the evening and the band had a day off of tour and spent it in the lounge of the tour bus minding their own business. The trio was doing what they do best, celebrity gossip. Esther was reading her Kindle and Avi and Kevin were baby shopping. Avi was now about 4 weeks pregnant. He would be 1 month in a few days. They were looking at a few things like baby clothes and small things like binkies, toys. Not buying anything. Just looking.

"You guys baby shopping already? "

"No. Just looking really. "

"Unless Avi decides something's cute or 'ohmygosh kevvy lookie' then no. "

"Hey. I can't help myself. I have a problem..."

He pouted and hung his head slightly. Kevin placed a hand on his back in comfort.

"And the first step to solving that problem is admitting you have a problem. Well done. "

They continued to browse while the trio had topic switched about 7 times no-- never mind 8. Mitch just changed the topic to the baby.

"I wonder what the baby would look like. "

"Kevin skin complexion-"

"-But lighter. "

"Right. "

"Green eyes-"

"-Just like their momma! "

"My child will not be calling me any maternal name. Let's get that straight."

"Even though you aren't? "

Everyone apart from Avi was laughing. Esther slightly confused and was now on a phone conversation.

"What's wrong with being called 'mom' 'momma' 'mommy' 'mother'? "

"Do I look like a mother to you? "

Whoever was talking to Esther had said something causing her to snicker.

"Wanna say that to his face? "

They spoke again.

"Ok then. "

Esther pulled out her headphones and put the person on loudspeaker.

"Maybe if you shaved the moustache and beard and wore Kevin's clothes then yeah. "

Everyone cracked up again. Avi rolling his eyes so hard they could've rolled right off his face.

"Shut up, Darrien you don't have an input!"

He yelled so he was heard over the line.

"It's true though! "

"Hush it, Koop. "

Avi looked at the screen and suddenly began smiling.

"Oh please don't tell me you've seen something you want... "

"No. Just feeling good. "

"Mkay then. "

"But that is cute. "

He said pointing to an item on the screen as Kevin threw his head back in annoyance. Everybody else laughing at him. Avi sheepishly smiling knowing what he had done.

"Can't wait for this baby to get here. "

"Neither can I. "

"I don't think anyone can! "

Mitch pitched in. Knowing the trio really  wanted a playmate. Avi laughed.

"You have to wait for a while. Just like the rest of us. "

Avi looked up at his boyfriend, smiling at him, both going back to the browsing they were doing beforehand. Darrien walking back in the lounge after going to retrieve something from the store.
