Kevin was in the kitchen with Quincey. He was preparing breakfast for his family while Avi showered upstairs.

Quincey was sitting in his little chair on the counter keeping Kevin company, filling his ears with his constant baby chatter. Kevin responding occasionally to make the boy believe his dad could actually understand him.

Avi was tearing through his wardrobe looking for something to wear. The fitting was today and he was stressed out beyond belief. Mainly because he didn't know what to do about his kid.

Sure, Esther would be there but the boy was clingy, y'all. He refuses to be without either of his parents for any longer than 30 seconds before he begins crying wondering where his parents took off to without him.

Frankly, he doesn't know what to do about it and it's causing him stress. At least his clothes aren't taking the brunt of the force any more since he's found a suitable outfit to wear now and was slipping the clothes over his body, careful not to just throw it on as the leftover lotion was causing his shirt to stick to his hands.

He was dressed and hair done 5 minutes later and he made his way down the stairs. His boyfriend and his son sitting at the table, Kevin trying to multi-task in feeding himself eggs and Quincey oatmeal.

"Hey, Vivi."

"Hiya. Hey, bud!"

Avi tickled the baby's tummy eliciting a loud squeal from him. It was cute. Avi was about to sit but he saw the large plate in his seat and scrunched his face.

"What? What is it??"

"I'm not feeling a big meal today."

"Oh."

Avi carried the plate into the kitchen and covered it, not wanting it to waste. And got out a box of granola, yogurt and berries to make a fruit parfait whilst boiling the kettle to make an iced coffee.

Once that had all been done he walked back to the table, spoon in his mouth and sat down. Kevin looking confused

"That all?"

"Yeah."

"If you want anything else."

"I won't but... thanks."

"You suddenly don't want a big breakfast, Avi? You did yesterday."

Kevin laughed trying to lighten the suddenly solemn mood at the table.

"I know. I don't know what it is..."

"I don't think it's anything harmful. Just try to ease yourself back into eating normal breakfast foods again."

"I just stopped for some reason. "

"I'm sure it's nothing big, baby. Don't worry yourself over it."

The breakfast was soon cleared and they all went upstairs to deal with the baby.

Harder than you folk might think. Kevin walked in on a scene.

"Why is he crying so much??"

"I don't know."

"Check the water."

"What?"

"Check the water."

"Kevin I--"

"Scoot."
