Only You ??

Lisa's POV

"Nini, what took you so long to answer?" There's a bit of annoyance in my voice.

"I'm sorry, Lili. I was in the bathroom and I forgot to bring my phone with me."

I sighed. Silently cursing myself for thinking nonsense again. "That's fine. How are you? I miss you." My voice softened. I really miss my mandu.

"Feel better now that I'm talking to you. I miss you too, Lili." I can imagine her lips pouting. I smiled of the thought.

I stepped out of the house of Irene's grandparents to call Jennie in the middle of the night. It's the only free time that she has. She's busy the whole day since she was participating in a big competition. We only have an hour or hour and a half time to talk tonight.

"How's everything there? Are you having fun?" She asked pertaining to our small vacation here in a province.

I roamed my eyes around the wide garden although I can only see darkness because it's already midnight.

"Everything's fine, Nini. And yes, we are having fun. Grandma and grandpa are both easy to get along. Grandpa will tell us jokes while grandma will cook for us and tell us about Irene's childhood." I said with a smile on my face.

It's really great to live with your grandparents since I never got a chance to live with my grandparents before they died. I really envy those people who got a chance to live and be with their grandparents, I never experienced being told stories by my grandma and being told jokes by my grandpa. Fortunately, Rosé unnie got a chance to lived with them for about a short period of time.

"Aw. I really want to go with you, guys. But I still have to be here until tomorrow night." I can imagine her pouting after saying those words.

I bit my lower lip to refrain myself from smiling because of the thought of her pouting face. "We can go back here if you want. Besides you're close to them too, right?"

Irene and grandma told us about Irene's super close friends— which are Sana and Jennie— they've known each other for years now.

Jennie and I continued to talk for more like an hour before she hanged up because she still have to wake up early in the morning.

I sighed then roamed my eyes around for the last time before I headed back to our room.

Jennie's POV

"Congratulations Jennie!"

"Jen! Congrats!"

"Congratulations Ms. Kim!"

I'm smiling from ear to ear and thanking the people who were congratulating me habang naglalakad ako paakyat ng stage to get my award. I won the first place in the National Quiz Bee Competition That was held in Busan.

After they gave the award to me with Professor Kai— since he was the one who accompanied me in this competition— we took a picture with the judges before we left the stage.

"Wow! I knew it! You always make us proud, Jennie." Professor Son congratulated me as I walked by her. She gave me a quick warm hug. "Thank you, Professor Son." I shyly smiled and thanked her.

She then looked behind me with still a smile on her face. "Congratulations to you, too, Professor Kai."

I heard him chuckled softly. "Oh no, I didn't actually do much. It's Jennie who worked very hard." He smiled and stood beside me.
