Merthur and Reader x Sir Leon

A bang startles us all and Merlin grabs the letter that appears with smoke surrounding it. He opens it hastily two pieces of parchment falling on the floor. He reads the one in his hand first and I see his face fall "Morgana hasn't heard from her in three weeks and can't sense her magic anywhere, But she will keep trying." I nod and he picks the parchment up from the floor "These are the last two letters she received from her." he hands them to me and I frown "So there is no sign of her?" Merlin shakes his head "I'm sorry Arthur." Leon walks out the door shortly followed by Lancelot who says something about making sure he's okay.

The others slowly walk out and shut the door behind them. Merlin wraps his arms around my shoulders and I can fear tears welling up in the corner of my eyes. "I should have protected her." he sighs "You couldn't off done anything Arthur, please don't blame your self." I shake my head "It's all Uther." Merlin hugs me tighter "Please don't do anything rash." I manage to give him a small smile before tears fall down my face. "Arthur, hey it's okay." he pulls me up and wraps his arms around my waist "Stay." he nods "Of course." 

Your P/O/V:

Kali buts me gently with her head and I smile at her "I'm sorry." she snorts and I stand wiping my face "This is stupid, I don't even know if he is dead." I stroke her nose "I'll send a message to Morgana I'm sure she'll know." I write a note and use my magic to send it. I grab a small bag of coins and tie them around my waist grabbing two small daggers and hiding them in my boots. I also grab a cloak and put it on "I need to buy food, shall we." I climb onto her back and she sets off in the direction of Viara. 

When we arrive I dismount and am instantly surrounded by five children all smiling brightly. "Your back." I smile at them and nod "I came for the market." they all nod "We can help." I smile "I would like that." Kali snorts and walks over to a water trough "Stay close." she snorts before putting her head in the trough and taking a long drink. I smile and allow the children to drag me towards the bustling market. I bow my head to a few individuals that I recognise and continue further into the market people bustling all around me. 

Several attempt to steal my bag of coins but the five surrounding me glare at them and bat at their hands which makes me smile "What do you need Y/N?" I smile "Food and some other supplies." they all nod and lead me around the market helping me pick out food and some more clothes. Once done they lead me to a large field and all sit down "Can you tell us a story?" I smile "Alright." I sit opposite them and start telling them about life in the palace changing all the names. They smile and ask a lot of questions about the story which I try and answer without revealing enough so they suspect it is me in the story.

By the end, two of them are sitting in my lap and one is braiding my hair while the other two tell me stories about their life in Viara. I smile and look around at the five children "Shouldn't you all be returning home now?" they all frown and sigh "But we don't want to leave." I smile "Well I need to return home." they nod and stand slowly "But you promise to come back don't you?" I laugh "I always return yet you always ask." they all smile and begin to walk back to the village slowly. "I'll see you all again soon." 

I return to my cave and find the note I sent to Morgana on my bed. Why has it returned? I cup my hands and use my magic to send it again. After several minutes it reappears again and I frown. Lying down I debate why my message hasn't sent.
