WEREWOLVES NO.2 || untamed ??

Rhi growled and shot out of her room, but then remembered that her aunt and uncle were still asleep so she quietly stalked through the house and went out onto the back porch. everything was shrouded in pitch-black darkness, but with her keen werewolf eyes, Rhi could see Loch standing by the fence as if it were daytime and not nighttime.

"what the hell are you doing back here? i thought i told you to stay away!" Rhi seethed as she approached the other werewolf.

Loch turned toward her with absolutely no hostility. "relax! i'm just here because... i felt like something was wrong. like i wanted to be here and see why i suddenly felt like this. but now that i'm actually here, that feeling is gone and now here you are."

Rhi folded her arms across her chest. "yeah well, it is the middle of the night and my aunt and uncle could see me out here and get suspicious. especially if they see a strange red-haired girl with no business being over here."

"i know i know, but just listen! i swear i felt something bad... it was like a compass leading me here. and now i can't tell if it was actually real or not. maybe i should stay close by just in case. i'd feel better being in the company of another werewolf anyway."

"you can't stay in the house, but whatever. just keep yourself hidden and do not alert the farm animals! and especially steer clear of the dog, she'll start barking and will definitely alert my aunt and uncle."

"got it. i'll just go deep into the pasture and sleep in the long grass. anyway, sorry for disturbing you, i'll leave you alone now and keep my distance." Loch began to walk away, then her walk progressed into a jog as she disappeared into the long grass.

Rhi sighed, running a hand through her hair as she walked back up the porch and quietly walked through the hallway like a mouse, closing her door swiftly and silently. she couldn't believe that Loch had gotten so close to the house just now. she was so lucky that it was nighttime and not sheer daylight, where Lorraine and Boone would most likely shoot her if she got too close to the premises.

well maybe not that extreme, but definitely something like that.

Rhi fell asleep quickly, then woke up later on in the day when the sun was shining through her room and there was no choice but to wake up. it was 9:30, the perfect time where Lorraine would probably be making breakfast, so Rhi walked out of her room and sat down at the kitchen table.

today Lorraine was making egg and cheese omelettes with bacon wrapped around hashbrowns. "good mornin'. i'm glad you could sleep in today. fortunately Boone's still asleep too," she said with a chuckle as Rhi settled in.

"good, good." Rhi began to look through the newspaper and groaned when she didn't find any cartoons, even though it wasn't Sunday yet. "so is my mom picking me up tomorrow or are you guys taking me home?"

"Jenny says she'll come by, although i reminded her that it was an hour drive away from Moondale. she was fine with it, said she wanted to visit with us for a little while and see the ranch. you guys haven't been here in years, especially her."

"cool, sounds good to me."

breakfast was ready ten minutes later, and Boone was still asleep by then. Lorraine decided not to wake him up right now, since she was having an engaging conversation with Rhi that couldn't possibly be interrupted. "so i didn't ask this when you first got here, but have you got a boyfriend yet?"

Rhi nearly spat out her coffee, but decided to swallow it anyway. "ah, no, not as of right now. i've been focusing more on me and my own well-being, rather than finding a guy and starting up a relationship right off the bat. but i wouldn't mind having a boyfriend someday."
