"One day I won't be able to hold back."
The girl grabs Cal's wrist and they sneak past the Stormtroopers and reach the door of the reactor room.
"Do you know the code", Cal asks with a bit of hope in his voice. "Every base has different codes. Prevents spies from using everything."
"Ah."
With a swift move of her hand Y/n removes the panel from the wall to reach the cables behind it. "I'll hack into it. You look out for other patrols." Cal is not surprised by her harsh tone when giving orders. It seems to be the norm at the Empire.
The young Jedi stands watch while Y/n works on the door. Suddenly he hears steps coming from one of the corridors. "Y/n. You better hurry!"
"Shut up and let me work." The steps get louder until Cal can see a red light in the distance. An inquisitor? They are so done for. "Got it!"
The door to the reactor room opens with a loud sliding sound and the two immediately enter. "Cal!" The said male turns around and finds Cere panting at the corridor where the footsteps came from. "Thank god! I thought it was an inquisitor."
"No, just me. So you made it." Cere looks at Y/n with a skeptical look. "Did not betray you as you expected, huh?" Cere nods. "I'm slightly surprised."
Then Y/n lights up her lightsaber. "Get back." She lifts her hilt and slashes the reactor. It immediately starts burning up. "Run! It's going to blow up any minute!" The trio runs to the hole in the wall and runs through the cold as far away from the facility as possible.
Then a wave of force causes them to fly to the ground. The reactor exploded and the whole place is in flames. "Let's go", Y/n says and helps the others up. "There's more where that came from." They run back through the storm to the Mantis where the others wait for them. Greez and Merrin welcome them back onto the ship.
Y/n sits down on the couch after taking off her coat. "So. You still believe I'm a bad guy", She suddenly asks Cere who raises her brows in surprise. "Why do you ask?"
"Out of everyone here you doubt me the most. I helped you blow up the facility. A little credit would be nice." Cere scoffs. "Yes, I'm glad you didn't betray us but that doesn't mean I trust you. Although, I have to admit, without you we probably wouldn't have been able to do this mission. My thanks to you." Y/n nods and smiles a bit. "May I rest a bit?"
"Sure. There's a cabin in the back. You can use it", Cere says. "But I'll be having my eye on you!"
"I know." Y/n walks back to the free cabin and sits down onto the bed. She's exhausted, no doubt about that. Suddenly there's a knock on her door. "Yes?" Cal enters.
"Hey, thanks for today." Y/n raises an eyebrow. "It's the least I could do. You seem to cherish the Jedi Order a lot, huh?"
"I try... Cere has helped me a lot over the last few months. I'm grateful to all of them." Y/n hums. "Must be nice to have a family like that."
"It is. I hope you can be apart of this one day."
"We'll see Cal Kestis. We'll see."
