"Sophie?" My friends and family whispered, squinting their eyes.
"It's Nox." I said, earning a glare from mother. "Get it right."
"WHAT DID YOU YOU DO TO MY DAUGHTER?!?!?!?" Mr. Ruewen screamed at my mother.
"Wow. Emotion," I said fanning the air away from me. "You're so dramatic."
Everyone except us Neverseen looked shocked. My mother looked furious. I was gonna get it. Big time.
"You're an empath?" Mrs. Ruewen whispered.
"You're a conjurer?" I whispered mockingly, mimicking her voice exactly, which earned me a sharp elbow jab from mother.
While I was being distracted there was a loud explosion behind us, and a heavy net encased me. Ruy immediately dropped to his knees free. With Trix, Vespera, and mother fighting we would have succeeded, had a whole lost of, goblins, ogres, and gnomes not appeared out of the blue. I yelled for Ruy to run as a goblin pinned me down. He tried to knock the goblin away, but mother grabbed his arm and they glittered away. After a brief struggle, several good jabs to the goblin's stomach on my part, and the destruction of my hairdo, which I vowed revenge for, I was hit in the head, and knocked out. The last thing I heard was a squeaky voice apologizing to me.
