I a blurry memory filled my head I realized it must have taken place when I was around four or five, thirteen to fourteen years ago, out of curiosity I decided to dive into to it.
I awoke on a small metal bed, in a cold dark room. I trudged over to the huge door and, barely managing to reach the handle, opened it. I wandered down a long, dark, corridor, stopping to listen when I herd voices. I recognized one as my mother, and continued. I heard an ear piercing scream. Once I found the door I pushed it open, revealing three figures. The first one was in a large cloak, so I couldn't see his face, the second was a burned, bruised man panting for air, and the last was my mother, who smiled warmly at me.
"Oh Sanguine dear, what are you doing here?" She asked quietly.
"I-I heard screaming mommy." I stuttered, trying not to look at the dying man. "Mommy, will he be okay?" I pointed at the man.
"I'm afraid not dear." She said calmly. "He needs to pay. But don't worry, I'll get some washers down here to make you feel better."
"But mommy, what about his family?"
"I will take care of them." She said smoothly. "Don't you worry. Mommy will take care of you.
A few seconds of silence passed.
"Come here." She said holding her arms out.
I hugged her, burying my face into her shoulder as a blast of fire encased a now screaming man.
My mother killed him. Was it my fault?
