Wolfstar Oneshots (With a Hint of Jily) #Wattys2019

Loosely based on "If The World Was Ending" by JP Saxe and Julia Micheals. 
A/N: This one is kind of sad.
Trigger Warning: Includes mentions of death.

3rd Person POV:

It was the Marauders' fifth year at Hogwarts. The four boys were down in the common room, doing homework, when Sirius's house-elf, Kreacher, appeared, handed him a letter, and vanished. Confused, Sirius ripped open the letter and started reading it. His eyes widened and tears sprung to his eyes. He immediately got up and made his to the dorms, shutting the door.

Once the door was shut, Sirius slid down on the floor with back to the wall. He was clutching the letter close to his chest with sobs coming out of his mouth. He can't believe it, he can't comprehend it. 

Back down in the common room, the other three boys were very concerned. They didn't know what to do. A minute after Sirius had headed upstairs, Remus stood up and went to the dorms. He was really scared about what was in that letter. It's not like Sirius' family were angels.

Remus opened the door to find his boyfriend of one year sitting on the floor, crying his eyes out. He gently shut the door, made his way towards Sirius, and wrapped his armed around him. Sirius placed his head in his shoulder and cried, his chest hurting from the sobs. 

"What happened, Siri?", Remus asked, wondering what could have been in that letter.

Sirius didn't reply, he simply handed the letter to his boyfriend. Remus read the letter and was appalled, to say the least. How could a parent disown their own child that they brought into the world? That was terrible. Remus was angry, very angry, but when he looked at the broken silhouette of his boyfriend, he realized that he didn't need to fight anyone right now. He just needed to be there for Sirius.

Remus enveloped Sirius is a hug again, rubbing his back as a source of comfort. 

"Wh-why did they do this, R-Remus? Am I th-that bad a son?", Sirius stuttered.

Remus pulls away to hold Sirius' face in his hands and said, "Of course not, Sirius! You are great and they are crazy for not seeing that. You are allowed to feel bad and upset about this, they are your parents."

A few more tears slip out of Sirius' eyes that Remus wipes away with his thumb. Sirius shifts his gaze from Remus to the floor and said, "Why do I feel like the world is ending right now?"

Remus bites his lip to stop himself from crying at the sight before his eyes and said, "Siri, if the world was ending, then I would still be here with you, watching the ending of the world together so that we don't have to say goodbye."

Sirius lifts his head up to meet Remus's eyes and said, "Really?"

"Really."

Sirius wipes his eyes and a small smile appears on his face. He wraps his arms around Remus and whispered, "Thank you, for everything."

Remus smiles and replied, "No problem, Si. I am always here for you."

"I love you, Remus, so much," Sirius said nonchalantly. Remus gasped and Sirius' eyes widened as the wight of his words sank in. This was the couple's first "I love you."  

Sirius was scared that he rushed it, that Remus didn't love him yet. However, his worries vanished when Remus said, "I love you too, Sirius."

They both leaned forward to connect their lips in a gentle kiss. At that moment, they were happy.

When they pulled apart, James and Peter entered the dorm, both very scared about what happened to Sirius. Once Remus explained everything to them, James had to be threatened in order to prevent him from murdering Sirius' parents in cold blood. Everyone reassured Sirius that they were his family and that they were going nowhere.

Since that day, a tradition was formed for Sirius and Remus. Every anniversary or birthday, one of them would ask, "What would you do if the world was ending?". The other would reply with, "Be with you."

It was the Battle of Hogwarts.

Harry was out there, fighting Voldemort, fighting for his life, for the wizarding world. 

The students and the Order of The Pheonix were fighting against the Deatheaters with many casualties on both sides. 

Sirius and Remus, now married, were present as well. They were battling against a groups of 6 Deatheaters at the top of the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts. They doing well previously but now, they were surrounded. 

They knew that they weren't going to make it out of here alive. They could only hope that Harry would save everyone. 

"What do we do Rem? We don't have a chance!", Sirius asked his husband of 19 years. 

"I know, love. We can't survive this," Remus replied. The realization of their eminent death sunk in. They both stopped fighting as they had no more strength to go on, no more power or magic to save themselves.

Just as one of the Deatheaters was about to kill them, Amycus Carrow appeared and stopped them. Seeing Remus and Sirius on the floor of the Astronomy Tower, huddled together, Amycus grinned in delight.

"This is amazing, just amazing," he said. Remus and Sirius were holding on to each other, never letting go. 

"I have the werewolf and the blood traitor in front of me, amazing!", Carrow continued. He kept talking but the couple didn't care as they blocked him and the other Deatheaters out of their minds.

"Rem, we had so much to do after this, so many plans," Sirius says.

"I know, and I was looking forward to each and every one of them. But we can't do anything now," Remus said, pain evident in his eyes and his voice. Tears were brimming in both of their eyes but they blinked them back.

They shared a quick kiss when they noticed that the Deatheaters weren't looking their way for a second.

For the last time, Sirius asked Remus, "What would you do if the world was ending, Moony?"

"Be with you through it all, like I said before, Padfoot."

They smiled at each other but they couldn't stop the tears anymore. Their arms were wrapped around each other.

"... and now I will end you both!", they heard Amycus yell.

"I love you forever, Remus."

"I love you too, Sirius, so much."

"Avada Kedavra!"

Remus and Sirius were killed on 2nd May 1998. They were found by Harry at the end of the Battle of Hogwarts, once he finished Voldemort for good. He found them at the top of the Astrology Tower, smiles on their faces, and wrapped in each other's arms. They were together until their last breath, never leaving each other's side, even when their world was ending.

A/N: This is so sad, I don't know why. 

I promise the next one is cute and happy, unlike this one.
