Winder felt as if the walls were pressing in on him. That wasn't new. Nowadays, the walls of the testing chamber always felt that way. But this was way worse than usual. Now, it felt like death was hanging over his head.

As the doors behind him slid shut, Winder could feel his bitterness and hatred building up inside him. His bitterness towards his own build, which wasn't even complete. Machinery was showing at his ear, one back paw and his tail. He would never be complete. He would never be whole.

He could feel the hatred for the repliwolves that were complete. They stared at him as if he was a monster. And he hated it. He hated everything about it. He wished it would end. The tests, the staring, all of it.

Now that he was entering the testing chamber, he felt the usual fear beginning to creep up on him. Stupid fear, he thought angrily as he stepped into the chamber.

The door shut behind him and he suddenly felt colder than usual.

Suddenly, there was a blinding flash and Winder screamed in pain. Electric bolts! Of course they would use those. They knew how painful that could get.

Winder fought to keep himself standing upright. It stung to blink, let alone move. With each sway, he could feel the excruciating pain getting more and more unbearable. He couldn't wait for it to be over.

Then, the pain faded and Winder lost consciousness.

Winder woke up to a paw poking his face. "Hello? Are you awake," asked an unfamiliar voice.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" Winder screamed, leaping up and away from the repliwolf near him. He watch as it yelped and scrambled as far as it could from him.

This repliwolf was red in color and had a tuff of hair on his head. Winder tilted his own in bewilderment. Who in their right state of mind, would put hair on a robot?

"Hey! Back off from my friend," another voice broke in. Winder whipped around, to see a new repliwolf standing in the door way. This one was gray with blue, and a long tuff of golden hair stretching from the back of his to the front. His eyes were a light emerald green, something winder hadn't seen before.

"Who are you guys?" Winder growled. He winced, still feeling the pain of the test throughout his body.

The smaller repliwolf shook himself and eyed Winder nervous. "I-I'm Gear," he stuttered. "And that's Circuit."

Winder turned back to Circuit, who glared at him angrily. He returned the glare and stood up, the pain finally fading from his body.

"Look I'm doing just fine," he snarled. "I don't your help or your help or anyone else's."

As Winder took a step towards the door, he felt his back leg begin to stop up.

"No! No no!" he groaned. It was always the incomplete leg that did this. So annoying.

"Don't need our help huh?" Circuit pondered, smiling smugly.

"Shut up!" Winder snapped. He tried dragging himself to the door, but nothing worked. He was stuck.

He felt Gear touch him and resisted the urge to turn around and bite him. Slowly, Gear shifted one of the mechanics back into place and stepped away. "There, I think you're good."

Winder felt a new emotion rise up through him. Was it happiness? Maybe.

"Thanks," he said to Gear. Pushing past Circuit, Winder made his into the hallway and towards his quarters.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Binder?" a voice sneered behind him. Winder growled and turned around. It was Dagger, or as Winder called him, a leech.

"What do you want, and for the fifth time, it's Winder!" he asked.

Dagger smiled in a creepy way and approached him. "Just wanting to say hi to a friend," he answered slyly.

"I have no friends." Winder hissed through clenched teeth. "You know that."

"Maybe," Dagger barked. "Oh well, I'm heading out. See you later, Binder!"

Winder let out an angry snarl and snapped at Dagger's hindquarters, barely missing. "For the last time, it's Winder!"
