Winder trotted down the hallway. No tests today, today was a day to relax. He had thought about Gear and decided today was the day he'd get around to talking with him. It'd be great, he knew it would. If only he could get there in time.
Already, he could hear Gear laughing not far down the hallway. Winder broke into a run, and bumped into Nightmare.
"Watch where your going!" Nightmare growled.
"Or what?" Winder snapped back, his bitter side taking over again. "You wouldn't dare try fighting me, would you?"
Nightmare bared his teeth, but back away. Winders smiled. It felt nice knowing everyone knew not to mess with him or those he befriended.
Finally he made his way into Gear and Circuit's room. Inside, Gear and Circuit were chatting away like reploids on an E-Can rush. Winder cleared his throat and immediately, both of them stopped and turned around.
"What is he, doing here?" Circuit asked skeptically.
"He wanted to get to know me, so he came to talk." Gear responded calmly.
Winder smile slightly. At least Gear knew how to word his sentences right. Circuit obviously didn't care. He made it obvious that he detested Winder and hated him.
Winder got ready to speak when something slammed into his flanks. He heard Circuit shriek in confusion and Gear scream in pure terror. As Winder tried to turn around. A familiar scent wafted through his nose.
"Dagger," he growled. "I should've known you'd be behind this."
"What? You're not happy to see me?" Dagger asked in an innocent voice.
With a snarl of fury, Winder heaved Dagger off him and raced into the hallway. To his horror, more repliwolves were out there, killing the scientists and those who weren't fighting them.
Winder may have hated humans, but he couldn't let this happen, not to them!
Howling, he launched himself into battle. He watched as several of the repliwolves around him scattered, clearly scared for their safety. He struck one with a blow and sent it flying across the hallway.
"Leave the humans alone!" Winder growled. "What did they do to you?!"
For a moment, it seemed as if his words were getting through the other repliwolves and maybe they'd back down. Then, they all parted and there was Slasher, his eyes burning with rage.
"Maybe you understand." Slasher hissed through clenched teeth. "Don't you hate them too? They used you, they nearly killed you."
Winder looked away and as he did, he felt more weight slam into his chest. This time it was Nightmare. But this time, Winder wasn't going to hesitate. If Nightmare was part of this, he could pay for it.
Thrusting his head upwards, Winder's head collided with Nightmare's. The red and orange repliwolf fell back, unbalancing himself.
Taking the chance, Winder lunged at the Nightmare, jaws wide open. His teeth connected with Nightmare's stomach and with a massive yank, tore the fur off.
Tattered wires were pulled apart. Electric sockets shattered. Mechanical parts snapped in half. Fluids sprayed out, covering Winder's entire mouth.
For a moment, Nightmare stood there, fluids dripping from his wound.
Then he collapsed in a pool of fluids, dead.
"Winder!" Gear cried from behind. "Why did you do that?!"
Winder turned around to see him and Circuit standing there. Gear had small scars on his eye, but he seemed unharmed. Circuit had a small amount of fluids on his claws and it became clear what happen. They fought Dagger and defeated him. Though not without taking something.
"I had to." Winder growled. "Nightmare was a traitor."
Circuit growled, but put a paw up to stop Gear from moving forward. It was clear both of them didn't want anything to do with what happened.
Winder looked behind them, and saw Dagger. An entire portion of his face had been ripped off, revealing the metal underneath. Circuit must've done that.
"You're all cowards!" Dagger shrieked, half in rage, half in pain. "I'll get my revenge! You'll all see!"
Within moments, Dagger was gone, leaving a trail of fluids behind. Slasher flew past all three of them, trying to catch up before he lost Dagger. Winder took a step, tempted to follow them. Then stopped. It wasn't worth it. Besides, the repliwolves had seen enough death today.
Turning back to Nightmare's lifeless corpse, he scoffed. Kicking a few of wires around his feet aside, Winder headed down to his room, shutting the door. He looked over the the sink, walked over and splashed a little water on his face, to clean the fluids off his face.
