New Invader Zim X Reader

Gir and Y/n were outside the ship. Y/n had found the spacesuits, which looked a lot simpler than the big white space suits astronauts used. Assuming astronaut's suits were a lot heavier and harder to put on. These suits were fairly simple, but it didn't have a fish bowl-like helmet. It had automatically enveloped her head in a sort of breathable atmosphere.

Y/n grabbed alongside the ship to get around, though it wasn't very grabbable. The weightlessness wasn't very comfortable either, there seemed to be no up or down, there was no ground. It was terrifying, but amazing at the same time. It reminded Y/n of flying in a dream a little, or like she was underwater. 

"WOO HOO! I CAN FLY!!" Gir said as he rocketed around the ship with the jets in his feet. Y/n watched Gir, and as she looked out at space, she could see a lot more stars. The stars were everywhere. And the fact that they were in the middle of nowhere came into more perspective with how vast space was. No man's land. Y/n almost got distracted by the breathtaking sight. She felt like she could just float away. 

Y/n was able to move under toward the back of the ship to see multiple holes, revealing wires and tubes, along with mechanical parts. And a trail of green ooze floating in space. There was also a hatch that was ajar, probably knocked open. Y/n grabbed onto the hatch, pulling herself closer. It was hard to see, but she saw a  rubbery black hose with a hole burnt right through it. The green ooze bubbled as it floated out through the hole. 

'Alright, alright. Maybe I can just splice it,' she thought.

(I'm sure most people know how to splice hoses, wires and things right?  A fairly simple concept I'm sure everyone knows how to do. Now, this where I question what I'm writing x_X. Because I'm kind of just making up how the ship is, I know nothing about how this fictional spacecraft flies. I don't think any of the real creators do either. So I'm kind of basing it off of whatever research I've done, and mostly my random imagination, and what I know. I've worked on cars before, but I still consider myself a novice, Ya know? I can do general maintenance on cars as any other human being can. Sometimes the occasional project [ThOuGhS aRe LeArNiNg ExPeRiEnCeS (((((((':  ]. Though I'm sure there are people reading this that are a lot smarter than I am, sorry if this isn't accurate and I fucked something up MaGiCaLly (Cuz I'm dumb). (': that tends to happen especially in my current state of mind (': . But the way I'm going to write this is what I would consider not entirely the correct way to splice a hose, so don't try tying a piece a wire to seal a spliced hose. Just use hose clamps so it stays sealed. I'ma try to keep it simple xD.  Sorry kind of rambled xD Back to the story )

While Y/n was looking at the hose, she was wondering how she was going to do this. Why did she come out here without tools?? Maybe Gir has something.

"HEY GIR!" Gir flew one last lap around the ship before floating next to Y/n, "Do you have any tools or something? A knife at least?" She said knowing he keeps stuff in his head, though most of it food and junk.

"HmMmMmM..." Gir hummed as he rummaged through his head for something," How about this?" Gir said Holding out a mushy stick of butter still in the wax paper.

" Uhhh, no. Something sharp so I can cut the tube here."

Gir thought real hard, furrowing his eyes and rubbing his chin. "OH!" He finally said, "How 'bout dis??" Gir said pulling out some little scissors.

Y/n thought for a moment, well the scissors might be sharp enough, maybe. But she would have preferred a knife. "Come here a moment, let me see," Y/n said as she pulled Gir over like a toolbox.
