New Invader Zim X Reader

Zim's eyes seemed to lighten up at Y/n's question," An organic-sweep is what happens after an invader conquers a planet, to ensure there is no life remaining.''

''A-and we're somehow going to get the help of these 'Tallest','' Y/n askes anxiously for reassurance.

''Yup.''

This was definitely not a good idea Y/n thought. Her stomach twisting at the thought. If they did nothing Y/n knew they were doomed according to Zim's description of a 'sweep'.

Y/n has no idea what Zim had planned. Or if he even had a plan. And Y/n knew as much as anyone else that 99% of plans don't go as planned, good or bad.

''And how would we get off this planet?'' Y/n asked.

Zim held his chin, thinking of an answer.

He could call the Tallest and ask them to teleport them. If there were teleporting stations. Or maybe the Tallest could send a ship to pick them up.

Or, if they're lucky they could find a ship. Zim thought in silence. Until he finally spoke.

''When morning comes we shall scout out the area for any signs of anything that could be ---''

''Shh Shhh,'' Y/n cut him off, not even paying much attention to what he was saying.

Her eyes were wide as if searching for something.

''Gir turn off the light now,'' She whispered.

''Aw but--'' Gir began. But Y/n shushed him and took the light away from him, turning it off.

''HU---,'' Y/n swiftly placed her hand over Zim's mouth to keep him quiet.

''Sshhhhhh, I hear something...someone. Can't you hear it?'' She whispered as she heard some foot-steps splashing down outside, along with larger thuds.

Zim's eyes furrowed, his antennas perked up trying to hear any signs of an enemy. Then he heard voices.. ... ... ...

''Isn't there any way you can scan the area for Zim or something?'' Dib's voice said.

''Well I could, you don't need to be so pushy about it, but after this, you're on your own!'' Tak's ship responded....''Now scanning....scanning...scanning...
Zim's location located. That building there!'' Tak's ship said pointing one of its claws to the building Zim and Y/n were hiding.

Zim didn't say anything before grabbing Y/n's wrist. He felt like running, but Dib was right outside the building.

*Whirr-whirrrr, Clk Clk Clk whirrr*
Zim tried to fire at the wall to create an escape route but quickly remembered his PAK was not functioning normally.

Zim then grabbed Gir.

''Shh!'' Zim hushed, hoping they didn't know where they were.

*BOOM!*--- ''WAIT!!'' Dib's voice cried.
''Shouldn't Y/n be with Zim?! Why are you firing?!'' Dib questioned the ship but got no reply.

The concrete wall was destroyed before Zim could finish.  Debris flew everywhere, creating a lot of dust. Y/n could slightly make out Dib's face and a ship below them. The small glint of light bounced off his glasses. 

"WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE ZIM!!!" Dib called out.

''YOU'RE LYING!!!'' Zim screeched.

Dib seemed a bit taken aback,''...What? Seriously man?''

While Tak's ship did not hesitate, it buzzed and clicked, a form of light started to grow from its laser cannons. Like a ball of lightning.

Y/n's heart skipped a beat when she caught a glimpse of the light.  Zim''C'mon!!'' Y/n said yanking Zim by his collar.
