But after a while...a long while of falling and stuggling to fly she wasn't as scared anymore.

'Alright, alright. Grasshopper can fly, I just need to flap my wings or something. But there's no ground for me to jump off to get a start.'

---

"Alright, Gir...We need to figure out where we are," Zim said as he had Gir land on the ground, allowing him to hop off Gir.

"What about Y/n?" Gir asked.

"Eh?.........oh.......We didn't see her during the fall," Zim struggled to say," There is a high chance she didn't survive the fall...wherever she fell...... AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT GIR!"

Zim would have said more, but stopped himself, 'there's no point being upset about this, I knew this would eventually happen. It always happens, I'm used to it.' Zim thought to himself, he didn't know what to feel exactly. Any friendship or partnership never really lasted with him and his tendancies to be destructive and self-centered. This was practically normal for him. It was rare to have any sort of companionship aside from Gir.

Zim automatically tried to forget Y/n. Because it was an unsettling thought to him that made him feel...sad and weak. And Invaders can't be weak. He would move on........'Besides the only companion an invader would ever need would be their SIR unit.'

He looked ahead at the burning city far ahead, the ground was wet and full of colorful smooth pebbles. The sky was dark with smoke.

But Zim's mind couldn't help thinking about Y/n. Zim missed her, he never would of thought he would miss such a creature. But he did, despite her being just an experiment. An experiment that could finally help him conquer Earth. She had been with him this far,but now she's not. It just felt off, like when a familiar object is usually there is suddenly not there. He never got to tell her how great and amazing he was and all his stories to prove it.

He would not say he missed her extremely, he just missed her. Even that was too much to admit or think about.
It was a silly feeling being around a living breathing thing. Unlike Gir, she was warm and soft. He thought thinking of the few times times she ever got close to touching him. He wasn't sure if he liked that or not, but it was strange. He would have been disgusted and pulled away, but he couldn't at the time. He could only accept it, and now that didn't seem so bad. It was a strange feeling to him, he felt like he wanted Y/n to hug him. But Zim brushed that feeling off, because it felt silly to him especially as an invader.

'She wasn't bad for a human, fairly intelligent aswell. And most of all she never really left his side, even if she might've wanted to. Though I guess I never really gave her a choice anyway,' Zim thought to himself looking blankly at the city ahead. Gir could tell his Master was troubled, so he wanted to cheer him up.

''LOOK AT ME! I'M'A DANCING LIKE A MONKEY!!! DOO DE DOO DE DOO DOO DOoOM DE DoO!'' Gir said trying to get his Master's attention. But Zim didn't even seem to hear him; untill he felt something land on his head.

*PloP*

''GIR! DID YOU THROW A ROCK AT ME!?'' Zim turned to face Gir angerly.

''LOOK'IT MASTER! Y/N'S A HOPPER AGAIN! AaWwww, look she's on your head like a hat!''Gir pointed at Zim's head.

Zim froze almost confused, but then he felt something crawling on his scalp.
He shivered,''Y/n???''

Y/n was uneasy with all the movement. She could hear and feel a slight pulse under her insect feet. It was strange.

Y/n had seen him from over head and attempted to fly toward him. She was glad she had found him.

Suddenly Zim tried to grab Y/n from atop his head. But he missed and pushed her. Zim felt something brush past his antenna, he felt a sort of shiver causing his antenna to wiggle. Then he heard.
