mattia calls kairi.
mattia : hey bro. can you do me a favor?
kairi : wassup?
mattia : you know how i moved in at emorie and rowans?
kairi: yeah...
mattia : so um her brother and her kinda got in a fight and so he moved out and we can't live here alone. do you think it'd be possible if emmie and i could live with you?
kairi : i'll ask. but that's a big thing to ask.
mattia : i know. just call me back.
a few minutes go by and of course we were all nervous. finally, kairi calls back...
kairi : hey, bro. my mom said that y'all could.
mattia : really!?
kairi : yeah. she said she'll discuss rules with y'all when y'all get here.
mattia : thank you bro. i gotta go. bye.
kairi : bye.
we all are so relieved.
me : i'm gonna miss living with y'all...but at least i have alejandro.
i reach over and grab his hand.
me : okay. before we start moving out and stuff, can we just have 1 more chill night? watch a movie? cuddle? eat takeout?
em : definitely!
we go downstairs and sit on the couch. we turn on a movie. i lay my head on the arm of the couch and lay on my back. alejandro lays on my chest and i have my arm around him. and he also has his arm around me.
emmie takes a picture of me and ale and sends it to me.
emorie and mattia are cuddling on the other couch and they fall asleep.
me : i think someone's catching feels
i point at them and ale looks over.
ale : good. now he won't be after my girl.
he kisses me i kiss him again. we make out a little bit and then i look over and they are still cuddling. i decide to take a picture.
i stand up and i turn the lamp on. i snap the picture and turn the lamp back off. i decide to post the picture on my instagram and ale posts the picture of us cuddling on his.
the next day, we get up and start packing our things.
it takes a few days to get packed and moved.
5 days later
i walk in alejandro's house and mrs rosario greets me.
mrs rosario : hi, rowan. how are you, sweetie?
me : as good as it gets right now. how about you?
mrs rosario : i'm good. your position is so unfortunate. but i'm glad i could help you.
me : thank you, mrs rosario.
mrs rosario : i'll let alejandro show you to your room.
ale walks me to my room and i set down my bags. he helps me bring all my boxes in. before unpacking anything, i sit on the bare bed. ale sits next to me.
ale : what's wrong, baby girl?
me : i'm just gonna miss how things were.
ale : i know, darling. but it'll be okay. you're living with me now!
me : yeah.
emorie's pov
we walk into kairi's house.
kairi : okay so unfortunately, we only have 1 extra room. y'all okay with sharing?
me : uh i guess so.
mattia : yeah. i guess it's fine.
kairi : okay. we put in 2 beds so you won't have to share a bed but you will have to share the room.
he shows us the room and we start unpacking our things. i stop for a second and turn around towards mattia.
me : hey, can i ask you a question?
mattia : yeah, what's up?
me : so the other night we were cuddling and we fell asleep and um..i was wondering if you uh...
mattia : i think i have feelings for you emmie.
i stand there shocked. i was gonna ask him if he liked me but i didn't expect him to say yes.
me : well in that case...i kinda like you too. but i thought you still liked ro.
mattia : i've moved on. i've kind of excepted the fact that we'll never be together, so i thought about it and i realized i don't have feelings for her. but after the other day...and other times we've hung out...i realized i do have them for you.
me : i was hoping you'd say that.
he steps closer to me. i can almost feel his heart beating. i look him in the eyes and start blushing. he smiles and then presses his lips against mine. we make out a little and stop because we hear footsteps in the hallway.
