i immediately burst into tears and ball my eyes out. i drop to the ground and i don't have the energy to run after him. instead, max quickly goes after him.
all of our friends come out into the hallway and larray and jaden stay with me while bryce and josh run after alejandro and max.
larray and jaden both have their arms around me, trying to make me stop crying.
larray : breathe, rowan.
me : i-i c-can't.
they rub my back and eventually i calm down some.
jaden : are you okay?
me : no
jaden : can i know what's happening or is it too personal?
me : i uh i really don't wanna say it but i assume he'll tell you anyway. i was drunk and high and i uh had sex with another guy.
jaden : oh.
he kinda lets go off the hug a little bit just keeping one arm around my shoulders.
jaden : i know it's not really my business at all, but can i ask who?
me : it was m-max. and we were both drunk but he w-wanted a reason to break up with his g-girlfriend so he started kissing me and stuff.
jaden : oh i'm sorry.
me : don't be. it's m-my fault.
larray : actually it's max's.
me : i need to go after h-him. them. what if they're like b-beating each other up?
jaden : bryce and josh are with them.
larray : honestly, i could see josh and bryce helping alejandro.
me : oh god. now we really have to go.
we run down the hallway, tears beginning to yet again stream down my face.
it takes a couple minutes but we finally find the boys outside of the building next to the back door that leads to the staircase.
they're not beating each other up but alejandro looks really mad and josh is holding him back and bryce is standing in front of max. no one fought but they didn't want them to, so just in case they were blocking them.
i immediately run to them and wrap my arms around ale. he doesn't push me off but he doesn't hug back. i whisper to him so no one else can hear.
me : alejandro de jesus rosario. i love you. i'm so sorry for what i did. no matter how many times i apologize, i know nothing will fix my mistake. but please just listen to me. it really was an accident. i was drunk and high and max started kissing me. i didn't know what i was doing. i don't even know how it happened, okay? please believe me baby. i love you and i can not afford to lose you. alejandro.
he doesn't say anything but he slowly reaches his arms around my body and hugs me tight pulling me in closer. and he starts balling.
ale : i love you too. i don't wanna lose you.
he pulls me away and presses his lips against mine.
