The Encounter (Gladion x Reader)

* y/n POV *

You walk into a café with Eevee and Nine Tails to get some Pokepuffs because you're all hungry. After all, you just caught a Nine Tails. You sit down and you're all having a good time, smiling and sharing laughs and nothing could be better. This was going to be a great journey for you. Then you feel like something or someone was watching you. You shake it off because you want to have a good time with your Pokémon.

* Time skip *

You're walking on the beach playing around with Eevee and Nine Tails when all of a sudden

" So you finally caught it huh?"

You look around and see a familiar boy with blonde hair and bright green eyes. It was Gladion.

* Gladion's POV *

y/n was finally done eating, so I followed her to talk to her about today

" So you finally caught it huh?" I said

She turned around confused

"Gladion? What are you doing here?" y/n said

Her Nine Tails gave me a very angry look. It started to growl at me. I started to back away.

"Nine Tails. Calm down, it's ok. We know him. I'm sorry Gladion, I think she was just trying to protect me since she doesn't know you. I just caught her today. Cool huh." y/n said

" Yeah I know you caught her today I saw. I guess it's cool. But you better keep it under control" I said

"I know, that's why I'll train-. Wait a minute. What do you mean you saw?" y/n said

My face got a light pink and I looked away trying not to make eye contact.

"Were you following me!" y/n said

My face turned a slight red

"No of course not! I was going to the Pokémon center to heal my Pokémon when I saw you catch it!" I said

"I never said I caught it at the Pokémon center" y/n said with a smirk

I had enough of her obligations so I walked up to her and lifted her chin so her face was close to mine. Then I saw her face turn a slight pink.

"Just let it go." I said

We were so close. Looking eye to eye. Her Nine Tails had to ruin the moment by making us back away from each other.

"Nine!" she said

"See you around y/n" I said

She didn't say anything back as I looked over my shoulder and walked away

* y/n POV *

Gladion was right there in front of me.

"Were you following me!" I said

His face turned a slight red when I asked that. It was kind of cute. 'y/n what are you thinking! No!'

"Of course not! I was going to the Pokémon center to heal my Pokémon when I saw you catch it!" he said.

But I knew he had to be following me. That feeling I had earlier, I was right. But why was he following me. Was I happy that he did that? Or creeped out? 'Snap out of it y/n. You can't fall for him'

"I never said I was at the Pokémon center" I said with a smirk

Just then I saw him walking closer. I didn't know what to do. My feet weren't stuck so I just stood there wondering what he would do next. Then he grabbed my chin, lifted it up, and we were face to face. So close looking me in the eye. I felt my face heat up. And I knew he saw it because he smiled a little bit.

"Just let it go." he said

And with that he turned around and left. I didn't say anything. I didn't know what to say. Nothing was coming out. I saw him look over his shoulder, and then he was gone
