The Encounter (Gladion x Reader)

This is going to be a sad one. So be prepared

* y/n POV *

You woke up smiling thinking today was going to be like any normal one. Your family is perfect. Your Pokémon are perfect. And now your relationship is perfect. Or that's what you thought.

"Morning everyone" you said

"Morning y/n" y/n mom said "sleep well"

"mhm"

* Time Skip *

After you ate you decided you wanted to train with Eevee and Nine Tails since you haven't in a while. You were on the same beach that you and Gladion were on, but you couldn't let that distract you right now

"Eevee use Quick Attack, Nine Tail Dodge and use Flame Thrower"

Seeing how you're doing training by yourself with your Pokémon, you're proud of yourself. Eevee dodges the attack.

"Ok Eevee use Swift, and Nine Tails use Solar Beam"

But little did you know it would cause a big BOOM! Then sand blew everywhere. Once it cleared up you saw Eevee and Nine Tails just fine but they were all covered in sand. And so were you. But you all started laughing.

* Gladion's POV *

I woke up still thinking about last night. y/n I can't get you off my mind. But I can't let you find out my secret. It would make you hate me. Then I hear a BOOM. I run towards the beach and I see y/n with Eevee and Nine Tails and they're all laughing covered in sand. I start to laugh as well. Might as well say hello.

* y/n POV *

You were about to walk home when you hear a familiar voice behind you

"What on Earth happened here?"

"Gladion? What are you doing here?" you said

"I was taking a stroll with Umbreon when I heard a BOOM and I saw you 3 out here" he said

"Oh yeah, hehe, we were training. I shouldn't have used their most power moves against each other. Especially on sand" you said

Gladion just laughed and hugged you and kissed your cheek then wiping his lips because you're covered in sand.

"I have something to do with my family today so I can't hang out. I'll see you later though." he said

"Ok" you said with a smile

You both parted ways and went home

* Time Skip *

After you cleaned up your mom told you to go to the store to get some groceries. You didn't want to go because it was going to rain soon, so she just told you to hurry. You were almost there when you heard another familiar voice.

"You really think he loves you?"

"You've got to be kidding me" you said

You turn around and see the blue haired kid standing there

"What do you want. Another battle. Haven't you taken the hint." you said

"No I don't want to battle. I just want to talk about your boyfriend"

You froze in shock

"Gladion?"

"Yeah. He's not who he says he is yo" he said

"What?"

"You know that night when we was trying to steal your Eevee? It wasn't a coincidence he was there." he said with a smirk

"What are you talking about?" you said angrily

"What Im's saying is, your boyfriend is a part of us. He's a Team Skull Member. Our Enforcer to be more precise."

"No, no it's not true! He would never steal Pokémon! Not like losers like you!" you said

"Then why don't you go ask him yourself" he said

He then walked away. I was shocked. I didn't know what to believe. Maybe he was telling the truth. Because Gladion just showed up next to me that night out of thin air. No! I can't believe him. I have to ask Gladion myself and hear it from him.

* Time Skip *

It's starting to drizzle and thunder so I start picking up the pace till I'm finally at Gladion's place. Man it's big. It's a mansion. I ring on the doorbell.

"Hello?"

"Hi. I'm here to see Gladion" you said

After a minute Gladion comes down. He brings you to his room so you guys can talk.

"What's up y/n?"

You automatically jump right to it

"Were you trying to steal Eevee the night we first met?"

"What?" he said

"Was it just some strange coincidence that we bumped into each other on the beach?"

"y/n slow down"

"Are you part of Team Skull!?"

After you said that you saw his face shocked and he looked away. Trying not to make eye contact with you.

"Gladion. You didn't answer my questions. Especially my last one. Are you part of Team Skull!? you said

He then turned around and looked me in the eyes. And what he said next broke my heart

"Yes" he said

My face dropped. I was full of anger and sadness and betrayal

"WHAT! YOU LITTLE-"

You then slapped Gladion across the face with tears in your eyes and you stormed out of his room walking out the front door into the rain.

"y/n wait!" Gladion said

He ran out after you grabbing a hold of your arm. You got out of his hold

"WHAT! How could you" you said angrily with tears in your eyes

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to keep this from you. I was going to tell you I swear. But once I did, I knew you'd hate me." he said with tears in his eyes

"It's not that I don't hate you Gladion, it's I don't trust you. I never should have. We're done." you said crying

"y/n wait! Please!" Gladion said

You ran off from Gladion's place home in the rain crying all the way home. Gladion fell on his knees crying as well. The first girl who ever cared about him, who ever loved him, was gone. And he knew he had to get her back. Somehow.

*Time Skip *

You're finally home and you're soaking wet. Your eyes are red, and still filled with tears. You walk up the steps into the bathroom to get dried off and get changed into warmer clothes. You get back into your bed and Eevee and Nine tails come out of their Pokeballs and onto your bed with you. They're laying next to you and you start to cry, knowing that your first boyfriend betrayed you. After about 5 minutes of crying, you're asleep but still upset of what happened tonight.
