The Encounter (Gladion x Reader)

* y/n POV *

"No. Freaking. Way. Gladion?"

I see him standing there, not in his usual sweatshirt and jeans, and this time in a suit and tie. Looking nice. I'm hoping he doesn't see me tonight. But I'm wondering why he's here? But it's too late. He looks over and he spots me. Great. Now I have to go say hi.

"Mom, I'm going to go say hi to a friend. I'll be right back" y/n said

"Ok y/n. Don't get lost" y/n mom said

I walkover to Gladion, but why is my heart beating so fast. Why am I feeling this way. What is going on.

"Hey Gladion." I said

"Hey" He said

* Gladion's POV *

I'm talking to my mom. Lusamine. She's the reason why the banquet is here. She's the boss of it all. I'm standing there with her when I look over and I see y/n walk in the door. My eyes widen. She looks beautiful. Wow. Why am I feeling this way over some girl I just met. She's walking towards me. Probably to say hello. So I'm going over to say hi as well. My mom's too busy talking so I just left without saying a word. Oh well.

" Hey Gladion " y/n said

"Hey" I said

"You look nice, without your dark clothes and all" y/n said with a cute laugh

I blushed a bit

"Thanks. You look beautiful. I mean you look really nice." I said quickly

Feeling my face getting hot. I knew it had to be red

"Thanks Gladion." y/n said laughing

I saw her face turn a slight pink after I said that. I knew my compliments were getting to her. So why not mess around with her a little bit.

"Wanna ditch this place and go somewhere else?" I said

"I guess. But we gotta be back for my mom's speech" y/n said

"You got it" I said

I winked at her and then grabbed her hand and we walked away. I turned around a little bit and I saw her face turn more red. It was funny but I held in my laughs. We went to the roof where the moon was shining bright and we were just talking the whole night. Just about our lives and about our Pokémon. Then I had the sudden urge to do something drastic. The sudden urge to do something that I might regret or not. After talking for about 5 more minutes, y/n and I made eye contact. It was a deep and meaningful stare. I grabbed her by the waist and leaned her up against me. Her face turned even more red than before. She looked away trying not to make eye contact with me, but I wouldn't let that happen. I lifted her chin up and we were face to face. Closer and closer we got. She just stood there. She wasn't backing away. Our lips finally touched and it was a long passionate kiss. She didn't push away or anything. She kissed back. I was surprised. After we pulled away, she smiled and gave me another quick peck on the lips, and then a hug. I smiled and gave her a hug back. I knew then and there, I was in love with y/n.

* y/n POV *

" Wanna ditch this place and get out of here for a bit" Gladion said

"I guess. But we gotta be back for my mom's speech." I said

We went up to the roof. The moon shined beautiful up there. Gladion and I just talked and talked. It was nice. Just to get away and talk to a friend. Or that's what I thought. The next thing I knew, Gladion grabbed me by the waist and our faces were so close to each others. I didn't know what to do so I looked away. But he had other ideas and he grabbed my chin to make me look up at him again. This reminded me of when we saw each other on the beach. He did the same thing. But then, he kissed me. HE KISSED ME. ON THE LIPS. It was so real and passionate. So I kissed back. It felt right. I didn't want it to stop. But when he pulled away I just gave him a smile and one more peck on the lips and hugged him. And he hugged me back. I knew then and there. I was in love with Gladion.

" Awww that's so sweet. But sorry to break up this moment of yours. Wait, I'm not sorry. Hahaha."

I recognized that voice. Gladion and I broke our hug and we turned around and we saw the same guy with blue hair from Team Skull.

"Ughhh what do you want!" I said

"I told you, you were going to regret messing with me sweetheart. So I came to take your Pokémon." he said

My mouth dropped and I was angry. First he ruined my moment with Gladion and then he called me sweetheart!

"Oh hell no! No one calls me sweetheart without getting punched in the face!" I said

Gladion held me back though

"No there's another way to teach this guy a lesson. Beat him again in a battle. And then maybe he'll get the hint that he can't win against you" Gladion said

"Yeah. I guess you're right" I said

I then took out Nine Tails and I was ready for battle. He took out his Zubat. The same Zubat as before. I new I was going to win again.

"Ok Zubat, use Wing Attack!" he said

"Nine Tails, Dodge and use Flame Thrower!" I said

Zubat was blasted but then got back up. I guess he did dome training while they were away.

"Zubat use Haze!"

"Let's end this, Nine Tails use Tail Wip then Solar Beam!"

"Nine!"

There was a big BOOM and when the dust cleared up, Zubat was unable to battle.

"Zubat is unable to battle. y/n wins again" Gladion said

"Ughhhh whatever!" he said

Then he ran off

"Yeah you better run. So what do you think of tha-"

I was cut of by a surprise kiss by Gladion.

"What was that for?" I said laughing

"That was so cool" he said

"So does this mean we're a thing now?" I said

"I'd hope so" he said

"yes!" y/n laughing happily

You then jumped on Gladion hugging him. You walked back inside just in time for your moms speech. She talked about how great the work industry could be and she's thankful for the family.

* Time Skip *

It was time to go home so You said your goodbye to Gladion with a good and passionate kiss

"I'll see you tomorrow?" he said

"Definitely" y/n said

You got home and you changed and jumped right into bed. you thought about what happened tonight and you screamed into your pillow knowing that Gladion was finally your boyfriend, and you'll see him tomorrow. And with that, you drifted off to sleep with a smile on your face.
