The Encounter (Gladion x Reader)

Chapter 7

"I'll get it" you said

You opened the door, and there was Gladion. All dressed nice in a sweater vest and dress pants.

"Well why don't you look handsome." you said

"Why thank you. And you look beautiful." He said

I felt my face heat up. I knew I had to be blushing because Gladion was giving me that cute smirk of his. I invited him in and we were about to kiss when Sun came barging through ruining the moment.

"What's up there Gladion. I'm Sun, y/n's brother. Listen, you hurt her, I hurt you. Got it." he said

"SUN!" you said

"It's ok" Gladion whispered to you

"I got it" he said

You took Gladion's hand and took him into the kitchen where dinner was almost ready.

"Mom, dad, this is Gladion. Gladion, this is my mom (y/n's mom) and my dad (y/n dad)"

"It's very nice to meet you" Gladion said

"You too Gladion. y/n, you never told me how handsome Gladion was" y/n mom said

"MOM!"

My face turned red and Gladion just smiled until your dad walked up

"It's very nice to meet you Mr. (y/l/n last name)" he said a little nervous

"You too Gladion" y/n dad said shaking Gladion's hand firmly

"Dinner is almost ready so all of you have a seat on the couch until it's done" y/n mom said

Gladion and I are on the couch sitting next to each other. We were pretty close. He tried putting his arm around me until y/n dad looked over at us, and then we were just holding hands.

* Time Skip *

It's dinner time now and we're all at the table sharing laughs. I'm sitting there shocked seeing Gladion laughing and smiling so much. The guy I first met, silent, a little rude at first, and guarded, doing all of this. It just shocked me. Then something drastic happened. Gladion and I were sitting across from each other and my dad asked the big question. I was drinking a sip of water when-

"Gladion, do you love my daughter?" y/n dad asked

You then spit out some of the water trying not to make a mess choking on it a little bit.

"DAD!" you said

"What. I was asking the young man a question. Do you love my daughter?" y/n dad said

I looked at Gladion and he looked right back at me and smiled. He grabbed my hand from across the table and said.

"Yes, yes I do. Only if she loves me back" he said

I was shocked. He never said those 8 letters before. I had a feeling that he loved me but he never said it. I loved him and I had to say it back then and there.

"Of course I do" you said

We both knew we wanted to kiss but we couldn't knowing my parents wouldn't let us.

"Well thanks a lot for dinner mom but Gladion has to get going."

"But what about-" y/n mom said

"Nothing"

You grabbed Gladion and you both walked out the door. You sighed in relief. You were going to say something when you were pulled into a kiss. You were surprised but then you loosened up and kissed right back.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting to do that" Gladion said

"Me too" you said laughing

"Quick question though. Do you really mean it? What you said in there. The I love you?" you asked

"Every word. Do you?" he asked

"Yup" you said with a big smile

And after that he pulled you in for one more kiss and then he had to leave. You were sad, but this was another great night with Gladion. One you'll definitely not forget. You head up to your room trying not to get questioned by your parents on what took so long until your mom entered your room

"So. Was there a good night kiss?" y/n mom asked

"MOM! GET OUT!" you yelled throwing one of your pillows at the door

You laid back down in your bed next to Eevee and Nine Tails letting out a small laugh and closing your eyes and going to sleep thinking of what tomorrow will be like.
