Inside the house seemed to be a tanned middle-aged woman, draped in a sort of long coat, with a brown hood covering the back of their head and their shoulders. Strands of silver hair managed to get past the hood, and upon closer inspection, they also had goggles on the top of it. She seemed to be pacing around the room muttering something, all I could manage to get out of it was 'not red'.
" But that must mean... but how? " She muttered, before turning her attention towards our small group, seeming to realize Jesse wasn't the only one. " And there are more of you? This should be... it's... impossible! " The woman's tone of disbelief was quick to turn into one of mild aggression. " Out with it- who are you people? What's going on here? "
" I'm sensing some hostility. " Ivor commented, crossing his arms.
In a sarcastic tone, Petra asked " Oh? What was your first clue? "
" Easy, we just ended up here by mistake. " Jesse corrected, in an attempt to calm the situation down. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
The woman crossed her arms and seemed to become almost shocked by it. " Mistake? Oh boy is this the biggest mistake of your life. " For a moment she seemed to pause, before starting to walk back and forth. " Okay, okay okay okay okay, uh... Been alone for a while so this is a lot to take in right now... " She muttered, before turning back towards us. " The people- the citizens of Crown Mesa. You've met them, right? Maybe there was some outside? They're uh... distinctive-looking now. "
Letting out a slight sigh, Jesse nodded. " Yeah, I met someone. Not sure I'd call him 'people' anymore though. "
" No no no, please don't talk that way. " The woman spoke, walking over and lightly placing their hand on Jesse's shoulder. " I'm sure it looks... confusing to someone from the outside but please. They're my friends. And they ARE people. Please don't forget that. " She defended, her expression seeming to turn sad for a moment. "They're good people. I promise. " Piping up quickly after realizing something, she slowly backed away. " Oh, oh, oh no no no I've wasted too much time. "
Glancing out the window, Lukas nodded. " Jesse, don't look now, but we've got company. "
Walking towards the window themselves, Jesse looked outside then looked back. " Is this what you were scared of? There are only five of them and six of- Hey, where'd she go?"
During the distraction, that woman must have left. Smart, I'd do the same... if I knew how... and could bring myself to do it. My eyes darted down to the entrance of the building, where there were more of those... people I suppose, heading inside. I had a bad feeling about all of this, then again if I didn't have a bad feeling that would be the most concerning thing. Not at this very moment, clearly, but it would be concerning. " Um... I think there's more." I muttered, stepping back and gulping a bit. " This can't be good. "
" Jesse..? What do we do here? " Lukas questioned, about as worried as I was.
" They don't look happy.." Petra commented, slowly stepping back.
" They don't look at anything. " Lukas added.
" That's even freakier! "
" Time to go. " Jesse spoke simply, with a mutual agreement amount the group. They tried to run towards the group of people and push them but to no avail.
"Nope," Lukas commented plainly.
" We're stuck! "
And that is when a rather... unsettling thing happened. All the people with the Redstone thing's on their heads began speaking in sync, doing the same action, almost speaking in the same tone. " You are not from this place. " A distorted voice spoke through them, before they stood silently, seemingly upset, awaiting an answer.
