"Okay, maybe I'm more than a beginner" I state, as if I actually hid that from them.

In reality, I didn't know what excuse to come up with.

Miss Martian seemed to be in deep thought, as though she was trying to read my eyes.

She sighed, "I trust you're telling us the truth. But please know that you don't have to keep this away from us"

Lowering my gaze, I nodded, "Yes, sorry"

We all turned to the Zeta-tube where Red Robin walked in.

"Hey Red" Billy greeted, waving his hand.

"Billy" Red Robin greeted back with a wave.

"Any late pass?" M'gann joked.

"Well, Batman and I couldn't identify who was the one going around different banks and stealing their money. They left no traces behind. Does that count?" He replied with a ghostly smirk.

M'gann smiled.

"So, I'll take my leave. It was nice sparring with you" Billy glanced my way and whispered with his hand covering what he was telling me.

Allowing only me to read his lips, "You'll fit perfectly in the team" he winked.

I smiled. Sure I will.

"Bye guys!" he waved his hand and made his way out.

"Bye Billy" both M'gann and Red Robin stated synchronized.

"Then shall we continue the sparring?" M'gann suggested.

I shrugged, "Sure"

"Yeah" Red Robin answered as he stood in front of me, in his fighting stance.

"(Y/N) has learned martial arts before"

"Alright" Red Robin nodded as he looked into my eyes.

I turned into my fighting stance and stared at his arms. The thing here is...

I couldn't guess what move he was going to make.

"Don't just stare at your partner's arms" he informed.

"They can use both arms and legs"

And just as he said that, he was really quick-witted and tricked me into thinking he was going to swing his arm, but instead knocked me down with his leg.

A grunt escaped from my mouth, caused by the pain in the side of my body that had hit the ground.

"(Y/N), try to aim first. And Red Robin, tone it down a bit" I hear M'gann say.

"I thought you said she's learned martial arts"

That made a scowl form on my face,

"That doesn't mean I mastered it!" I yelled before rapidly swinging my leg to his chest, and as he staggered back, I stood up and started swinging my arms, hoping to hit him somewhere.

But he caught them mid-air.

"You're acting rash, (Y/N)" he stated.

I only growled. To be honest, I didn't know what I was doing.

"Alright, it would probably be best if we end the sparring here" M'gann respectfully intruded.

Red Robin let go of my wrists, and then I came to my senses, making my eyes grow big.
