"Kyoka Jiro and Ochaco Uraraka. They are your personal handmaids, and will help you in your training." Azumi introduced, gesturing to the girls as she said their names. "Hello, Princess Y/N. It is a pleasure-"
"Woah, woah, woah." you cut Ochaco off. "Princess? What?" Azumi sighed, and Ochaco flinched from the sheer anger that radiated from the noblewoman. "You are the princess until you marry King Enji. Until said wedding, your last name will be kept the same."
"Now, speak properly, or I'll bring out something to properly teach you with." she threatened. You straightened up, not wanting to be punished. It was still your first full day in the palace, but you had already developed a healthy fear of Lady Azumi and her character.
"Hello, Princess Y/N." Ochaco tried again, bowing to you. "I am Ochaco Uraraka, and it is a pleasure to serve you." you felt down your clothes, feeling inferior compared to the girls, even with the irony of your status. "Kyoka and Ochaco will get you dressed properly, and they'll give you a tour of the palace."
"This is your room!" along your walk, you learned that Ochaco was really bubbly and happy. You couldn't gauge Kyoka, though. She was respectful, letting her counterpart do all the talking. You opened the door, your jaw dropping at the sheer lavishness of your new room.
"You'll be staying here until your marriage with King Enji, and then you'll be moved into his room." you sat on the bed, incredulous about your situation. You loved the room- no, you couldn't. You were kidnapped, going to be used as nothing but a baby maker for the king. You were supposed to hate everything, not be warming up to it!
"I'll draw your bath. The royal tailor will come by later to take your measurements, so you need to be clean for that." Ochaco bounced into a room you assumed was the bathroom, leaving you alone with a bowing Kyoka.
"You don't have to be like that." you giggled. "Apologies, Princess Y/N."
"Oh, come on. I'm not a princess, just Y/N will do. Don't bow, Kyoka. Just treat me as you would your friend." She looked skeptical, but she stood anyway. "You are a princess, Princess Y/N. You are King Enji's bride, and I am your handmaiden."
"Princess Y/N!" Ochaco called, her voice sounding hollow. "I'm afraid we'll have to cut this conversation short. Can we talk later, Kyoka?" your handmaiden nodded. "Of course, Princess Y/N."
"You'll have your measurements taken, and then next week you'll be formally introduced to everyone as King Enji's bride at the ball he holds every other week. In that week, your dresses will be made, and you'll meet everyone here at the palace. Of course, you'll be taking lessons from Lady Azumi in everything from conversing to politics." the brunette babbled, trying to take away your nerves as she washed your hair.
Her fingers massaged your scalp, and you let out a little moan from the sensation. "As for today, though, you'll only be meeting the tailor. Sit up, I need to- uhh," she pointed to your nether regions. "King Enji has instructed us to keep your, ah, hair short. I'll make it quick for you, Princess Y/N."
The silk of your slip felt foreign to you as it slid up your shaven legs. Every part of you was hairless, and you were still getting used to it. Being the future queen had some rules about beauty, you guessed.
The door slammed open, and you let out a little shout. "Where's the girl?" a boy around your age with... really spiky hair demanded, his eyes setting on you. "Katsuki, treat her with respect. She's the future queen." Ochaco reprimanded.
"Eh? She looks like a child." you rolled your eyes, picking at your nails, which Ochaco and Kyoka had cleaned and painted. "That's because I am. Y/N L/N, here to fuck up your county."
Katsuki jerked the measuring tape around your waist, muttering to himself as he wrote down numbers. "So, Katsuki? How soon can Mitsuki and Masaru get the dresses done?" Kyoka questioned, keeping you in place. Katsuki yanked the measuring tape around your breasts, causing you to wince as your chest stung with pain.
"Be gentle, Katsuki. King Enji can easily have you killed if you harmed the princess."
"The old hag'll be done with one dress by tomorrow evening. The others will be ready by the ball." he packed his stuff up, not even waving goodbye as he left your room. Ochaco humphed, looking like a kicked puppy.
"This is the palace cook, Eijiro Kirishima. Since King Enji and his family have already eaten, Eijiro will make you your dinner." the name sounded awfully familiar, but you couldn't put your finger on where else you had heard it. Oh well. It was probably from stupid dream, and the names were a coincidence.
"Hey there, Princess Y/N! What do you want me to make for you?" Eijiro waved, and you managed a shaky wave back. "I can make myself food. You should go to sleep, you look tired." you observed, already taking out ingredients.
"Princess, that's not proper. What if Lady Azumi finds you-"
"And what if she does? My goal at this point is to get kicked out. After all, the king's only seen me once." Eijiro made a sound, and you turned to look at him, still chopping up vegetables. "King Enji's been talking about you for a while now, Princess Y/N."
Your hands stopped, and an uneasy feeling settling in your gut. "I'm sure he was talking about someone else. Y/N isn't a very rare name, after all. King Enji's only seen me once, I'm sure of it."
