You poured yourself a champagne, having never had one. Wine was for the rich, and beer and other spirits were for the villagers. You sipped the pink liquid. It was disgusting, but it had an aftertaste that made you want more.

Someone on your right gasped, and then Mina was taking the glass of wine from your hands. "Mina, give it back." she shook her head. "I'm sorry princess, but as your servant, I have to look out for your best interests. Which means that you shouldn't have any alcohol."

You rolled your eyes, pouring yourself another glass. "It's not a problem, I can assure you of that. Last night was a one-time thing. Now, let me pour a glass for the king and I, before he thinks that I'm running off." she reluctantly gave you your glass back, and you made your way over to the king.

"King Toshinori." Enji growled. Huh, that was funny. He wasn't introduced to you earlier. Maybe he came late? "King Enji! It's great to see you again! Is this your wife?" you shifted uncomfortably, not liking the term 'wife'.

"I am. Princess Y/N, at your service. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, King Toshinori."

Finally, when the conversation between the two kings slowed, you were able to make an escape. The pretty girl from earlier had gone out onto the balcony, and you were trying to weave your way through the crowds to find her.

The ball truly was magnificent. It was filled to the brim with nobles and royals alike, all here to meet you. The party was thrown in your honor, after all. It was meant to be your first introduction to the upper society before your wedding.

You finally found the girl leaning alone over the balcony, looking over the gardens. "Hey," she jumped, before turning around. You gasped. She was gorgeous, with big brown eyes and a shock of black hair that was pinned back into a bun. "I'm Chiyo. What's your name?"

You held out the second glass of wine towards her, but she shook her head. "No thank you."

"Funny. So, are you going to introduce yourself?"

"Ah! Forgive me! I'm Princess Momo of the Yaoyorozu Kingdom!" you came to stand beside her. Hopefully, she didn't know who you were specifically. "Your name is very pretty. So are you, actually." she blushed a bright pink. "Thank you, I- uhhh, what's your title? Forgive me, I came late! I haven't had the time to meet everyone, I've been mostly talking to the Todoroki princes."

Good. Now, here was the time to lie. You couldn't say that you were a servant, your elegant clothes would give you away. You had already lied about your name, why not more? "Just Chiyo will do. My title doesn't matter."

"But-" you giggled, sipping your drink. "No buts. I'll address you as your princess title, but just call me Chiyo."

"I- uhh, Chiyo." you hummed. "Yeah?" she was clearly refraining from calling you 'miss' or anything of the sort, and you could see that it was hard. "What kingdom are you from? Your dress is fit for a queen, or a princess at the least. And you're also wearing the Todoroki Kingdom colors-"

"Hush, princess. If you must know, I have an affiliation to the Todoroki Kingdom. Actually, come with me. There's somewhere I want to show you." you pulled her along, telling Kyoka to tell Enji that you felt sick and that you would see him in the morning.

"Where are you taking me, Chiyo?" you hopped onto the horse, holding out your hand for her to take. "I'm not sure if I should go. My father needs me, I-"

"Come on." you pressured her. "I told one of the servants where we are. It'll be fun. If you don't like it, I'll immediately take you back here. Deal?" she was hesitant, but she gripped your hand anyway. You dug your heel into the horse's stomach, and then you were out of the palace grounds.

You directed the horse into the town you were in last night, wanting to show Momo what it was like to have fun. You helped her off, leading her into the bar. People gave you weird stares, but you didn't care, you just sat Momo down at a table.

"What... is this?" the princess gestured to the mug of beer, and you laughed. "It's beer. You might not like it, but it's better than wine. Go ahead, take a sip."

She swallowed it, gagging all the way. You doubled over, taking the mug back. "Okay, so beer isn't your thing. Oh, hey! Himiko, Dabi!" you called the rebels over. They sat, and Momo seemed to be uncomfortable. "Just wanted to say hi. Now, you two, shoo."

"Awh, but Tomura wanted to talk to you!" Himiko whined. Shit. This was a mistake, and a hard one to fix. "I'll talk to him later. Come on, Momo. I'll show you around a different part." you pulled her out of the bar, getting her onto the horse and riding off deeper into the town.

"Sorry about them, princess." you sipped from the mug you managed to snag before you left the bar. "You don't like this, do you?"

"I do! I do, I think that this is fun. Although, I believe we should get back." you made a noise of agreement, pulling on the horse's reins to go back to the palace. You made small-talk along the way, but she wouldn't open up. She was probably distrustful of you. You couldn't blame her, but still.

Fortunately, the party was close to ending when you and Momo came back. Just as she was about to part from you, you pressed your lips to her ear. "Send me a letter, Princess Momo." she nodded. "It was great to meet you, Chiyo. I hope to see you again." she would, she just didn't know it yet.
