Osamu Dazai X Reader: It Was A Silent Goodbye

As the saying goes, nothing shows more strength than finding a particle of goodness in the worst of situations. The situation (Y/n) was in was one of the many worst she's ever been in before. After recovering, she uncovered the details of what was going on between the Port Mafia and the Armed Detective Agency.

Fukuzawa and Mori were in a fight of their own. It was said that the winner would be given a cure for the poison they were trying so hard to become immune too. Since the leaders were battling one another, so were the followers of the groups. Like all wars, the end had to come. However, the pause arose suddenly when the conflict between the Port Mafia and the Armed Detective Agency became interrupted by a familiar face.

Natsume Soseki was his name, and it was stated that he was the mentor of Fukuzawa and Mori years upon years ago. From what was told, this man was the reason why the two bosses had to agree to disagree and team up. As shocking at that was to (Y/n) and everyone else involved, that wasn't the only pairing from the two separate rival groups.

After Dazai received the will-power he needed to reunite with his comrades, he forced Atsushi and Akutagawa put their issues to the side and avenge as one. Those two were currently chasing after Pushkin, the man responsible for unleashing the virus

Ivan Goncharov then came into play. That man was too loyal to Fyodor and used his ability, which manipulation of the earth, that defeat the duo. After receiving the news of where Fyodor was hiding out from the mess he purposely creates. Dazai finally makes his move in help of the situation. The last trifle (Y/n) received led to to return back to Yokohama. She scoured the area for that particular café Fyodor was supposedly hiding out at. He was using music from a radio programmer to instruct Goncharov with orders.

As (Y/n) ran through the streets, the signs of all types of stores and shops flew by. The only café she knew of was the one below the Armed Detective Agency, but it was obvious that the villain wouldn't hide there. Out of all places in Yokohama, that's the one she didn't bother searching. Just like that, (Y/n) stumbled upon Dazai, and her face lightened with relief and joy. "Osamu!" she screamed. The enthusiasm in her voice caused Dazai to turn around. Only then was he greeted in a tight, yet comforting, hug.

"I'm so happy you're okay," (Y/n) said. Osamu has a gentle smile on his face, until his expression changed to one of someone wincing after he was smacked in the chest. (Y/n) didn't have to say anything to explain why she hit him like that. From the gloss in her (e/c) eyes, Dazai knew that he had her worried. There was a bit of anxiety and embarrassment arising in him as he looked at (Y/n). After all, the last words he set to her were ones of a confession to how he felt.

"(Y/n)," Osamu said. "No," (Y/n) quickly blurted. "We'll talk later. We need to find Fyodor." Dazai smirked as he grabbed (Y/n)'s hand and took the lead on where the two needed to go. "I already have a plan," he mentioned. Fitzgerald was needed and that's the person Dazai was heading to. Fitzgerald has access and control over all security cameras in Yokohama. Once there, Dazai was able to complete his part of the termination of the infected war.

If it wasn't for Osamu using his wits, which he didn't often show, and counterattacking Fyodor, the battle would have ended with multiple deaths. Finally, Fyodor was arrested by the police and by a few members of  Special Ability Department.

In celebration of their hard and oddly team work, the Port Mafia and the Armed Detective Agency decided to settle their differences for the next six months, so they could recover and rest and train for another fight, which apparently Atsushi and Akutagawa decided to reschedule.
