"The good thing is that you always have to obey her." Sid said with relief but stopped as soon as Diego glared at him and began to growl a little.
"Guys." Manny suddenly said and it got our attention. We walked over to him.
"Fast Tony was right. Everything is melting." Manny said and we looked at the ice that had just disappeared and it was now only a large ocean.
"It's all gonna flood." Manny said.
"Come on, we got to warn the others." I said and I started walk away from the melted ice. Manny left to follow me first and not long after, so did Diego. And last of course, Sid.
"Geez, this whole thing's a piece of junk. I can't believe I live here." Sid said behind me and suddenly we started to hear the rumble below us.
We stopped and Diego came protectively closer to me. Then we all looked back at Sid.
"Sid?" I asked a little worried about the rumble.
"What?" Sid asked and then we heard the sound of shattering and suddenly the ice below us shattered. It sent us all screaming/shouting to drop down.
Manny was at the bottom and me and Diego were above him and Sid in turn got a grip on Diego's neck. We kept screaming and also falling. Then the ground and water started approaching us and we were back down.
When we had stopped, Manny was on the ground on his back and Diego had caught Manny's tusks above and I was hanging below Diego. Sid had caught Manny's trunk.
"Are you okay?" Worried Diego asked above me and I just laughed in fear.
"Heh, yes, I am." I said and then I dropped to the ground and so did Diego and Sid. Manny then stood up on all four legs.
"You see? This is exactly what I'm talking about!" Tony said and pointed to us. Then he continued,
"Giant balls of furry lava, the size of mammoths, raining from the sky!""Eh, go suck air trough a reed!" One of the mammals shouted at him and this was followed by laughter.
"You got to listen to him. He's right about the flood." Manny said in a loud voice to the others.
"I am?... I mean, uh... yes, I am." Tony said.
"Wait a minute, you're the one who said there wasn't going to be a flood. Why should we listen to you?" One reindeer asked back.
"Because we saw what's up there and it's true. You have to believe us and we all have to go before the dam breaks and we are all under water." I said and stepped closer to them. However, the others laughed and I, for my part, rolled my eyes because why they couldn't just believe us?!
"The flood's real, all right." A voice said behind us and all the animals around us gasped. We turned and saw a vulture sitting on a branch of an old tree.
"And it's comin' fast. Look around. You're in a Bowl. Bowl's gonna fill up. Ain't no way out." The vulture continued and this made us others panic a bit.
"What are we gonna do?" One reindeer asked in panic.
"Unless... you can make it to the end of the valley. There's a boat. It can save you." The vulture continued.
"I don't see anything." One mammal said and the vulture continued.
"But... Y'all better hurry. Ground's Meltin', Walls Tumblin', rocks crumblin'. Survive that, and you'll be racing the water. 'Cause in three days' time, it's gonna hit the geyser fields." He continued quietly and then,
"Boom!" He shouted and opened his wings, frightening the others and causing the beaver to faint in horror.
"There is some good news, though... The more of you die, the better I eat... I didn't say it was good news for you." After saying this, the vulture took off and left.
"Ooh, he must've been a real pleasure to have in class." Sid said and the four of us share a worried look at each other. Then we heard the rumble again and heard how a large block of ice fell from a high wall to the ground. Then the other animals started screaming and I saw how the little beaver child was building his own dam and a block of ice was dripping on him. Without thinking, I quickly ran to him.
"Y/n?!" I heard Diego shout behind me and when I was close enough to the beaver child, I grabbed him with my teeth tenderly and quickly ran out of the way. As the ice block dropped to the ground I looked in front of me and saw a beaver mother running towards us. I opened my mouth and let the child to the ground. He ran into his mother's arms.
"Thank you so much, Y/n." The beaver mom said and I nodded. Then I went running back to Manny, Diego and Sid. Then we looked up at the dam and heard more sounds of breaking.
"All right, you heard the scary vulture. Let's move out." Manny commanded everyone and not for long then everyone was already heading towards the boat.
"Manny, do you really think there's a boat?" I asked because I was already a little scared of this 'end of the world' and drowning thing.
"I don't know, but in a few days, this place is gonna be a mile underwater. If there's any hope, it's that way." Manny answered and I just nodded and I felt that Diego gently nudged me to the side with his own side. I looked at him and gave him a small, slightly sad smile.
"Hey, don't worry kitty, you're safe as long as I live so you don't have to worry." Diego said and tried to comfort me.
"I know, but don't say that because I don't want to lose you." I said and pressed my head onto his head.
"Okay but we should go already." Sid pointed out and we went for a walk.
And so began another adventure, Diego next to me... and of course Manny and Sid too.
