[Ice Age] Diego x Reader Book 2.

Y/n POV:

"Hey, is everything okay?" Diego asked me as I looked around.

"Yes, I'm just wondering where Ellie and the boys are." I answered and not for long then we saw them spinning down the hill on top of the logs.

"Oh! No Brakes, gotta roll! Meet you at the other end!" Ellie shouted and continued her journey while Crash and Eddie were left behind.

"Well, now I got my answer." I laughed.

"So, you think she's the girl for me?" Manny asked us.

"I mean, why not?" I asked.

"Oh, yeah, she's tons of fun, and you're no fun at all... She, completes you." Sid explained and Manny just rolled his eyes. Then we heard how the familiar opossums mumbled in the stupor and we turned to look at them as they tried to catch their balance.

"Yeah!" Both of them shouted at the same time and gave high fives to each other but didn't hit each other so Eddie fell to the ground in a stupor.

"Hey! Hey, Manny!" Crash shouted and came closer to us as Manny walked closer to them.

"Can you pull back the tree and shoot me into the Pond?" Crash asked as he climbed a tree branch.

"No." Manny replied and continued walking.

"Oh, come on." Crash complained after him. Then Sid ran past me and Diego and went next to Manny.

"Now, how do you expect to impress Ellie with that attitude?" Sid asked Manny.

"I don't want to impress her." Manny replied back to Sid.

"Yes you want, why else would you want to prove to her so hard that she's a mammoth?" I asked and joined the discussion.

"Because that's what she is!" Manny replied and he had become a little irritated and then he continued,
"I don't care if she thinks she's a Possum. You can't be two things!" This made me and Sid look at each other with an incredible look and then we turned to look at Manny again.

"Au contraire, Manfred. Tell that to the Bullfrog, the chicken hawk or Turtle dove." Sid explained and we both looked at Manny, with a smirk on our faces.

"They're never gonna let up on you. It'll be easier on all of us if you get to go with it." Diego said from behind us and continued walking past us.

"And now gentlemen, I go after the love of my life, as you should too, Manny..." I said with a smirk on my face and turned slowly and walked towards Diego. When I was next to Diego he turned to look at me while I still had that smirk on my face.

"Why's that smirk?" Diego asked me.

"Oh, it's nothing." I said and smiled instead and looked at the ground. Then Diego whispered in my ear with his lower tone,

"I didn't say you have to stop smirking, kitty." Having said this, I stopped but Diego continued to walk. I- wha- I- that- he- Diego?!

My daydreaming was interrupted as we saw Crash fly in the sky and hit a tree directly. Ouch. Then he fell to the ground.

"Crash!" Eddie shouted as he ran past us. Diego and I looked back and saw Manny and Sid running down the hill behind Eddie. Diego and I, of course, ran with them. We saw Ellie and Eddie standing next to Crash who was lying on the ground.

"Crash, you okay?" Eddie asked as he pressed his ear over Crash's stomach.

"What happened?" Ellie asked.

"Manny shot him out of a tree." Eddie answered and lifted Crash's body into his hands.

"What's wrong with you?" Ellie asked angrily as she turned to us but kept her eyes on Manny.

"He said he could do it!" Manny said back.

"And you listed to him." Ellie said.

"Crash! Whatever you do, don't go into the light!" Eddie said dramatically and shook Crash from his shoulders.

"Can I help in any way here?" Manny asked and walked closer to Ellie.

"You've done enough." Ellie answered coldly and Manny turned to us.

"Are you happy now?" Manny asked as he came next to us. The rest of us just looked down. Then we heard Eddie crying Crash's name.

"Crash, Crash, don't leave me!" Eddie said as he hugged Crash's body. And this is the point where everything started to go, dramatically.
"Who's gonna watch my back? Who's gonna be my Wingman of Mayhem? Who's gonna roll in that Dung patch with me?!" Eddie cried dramatically and went to his knees.

"Dung patch?" Crash asked as he raised his head up from the ground. We were all... surprised, so to speak. And if you thought the recent one was dramatic, then just wait ...

"Wait! My legs! I can stand!" Crash said excitedly and got up.

"He can stand!" Eddie said excitedly.

"I can run!" Crash continued and set off to run in place.

"He can run! It's a Miracle!" Eddie said as Crash ran the circle in front of us.

"Hallelujah!" Ellie shouted happily and laughed as Crash and Eddie left to run laughing in front of us. Then he turned to us and his look changed.

"Oh. What can I say? They're boys. They make my life a little adventure." He said, laughing nervously and slowly turned around and walked over to the opossums.

"You guys are so dead!" Ellie muttered under her breath.

"Thank's for embarrassing me!" Ellie shouted at the boys.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" The boys shouted in pain and for us we could only watch.

"Should we help them or... not?" I asked the boys but  I kept my eyes on them.

"Nah, maybe we just watch." Manny replied.

"Ow! Not the face!" Eddie shouted again.

"Agreed." Diego and Sid said quickly at the same time.

"Ow!"
