They looked out into the void. "Does it hurt?" One asked quietly.
"Does what hurt?" The other's reply came.
"Being so... alone. Being so lonely."
The other sighed, and turned their gaze back to the dark. "I couldn't tell you if I wanted to.""Do... Do you want to?"
"No."
One furrowed their eyebrows. "Why?"
"I don't know how to say it." The reply was simple.
"I can help you."
"I know."
"Will you let me?"
"No."
One was getting frustrated. "Why? "
A small smile grew on the other's face. "The price of being alone is not knowing how to stop."
