The night air was thick with tension as Peter Parker and Wade Wilson navigated the labyrinthine alleys of the city, chasing down a notorious arms dealer who had been causing chaos with a new weapon. The mission had been difficult from the start, with traps and mercenaries at every turn. Now, the stakes had never been higher.

Peter was in the thick of it, fighting off a group of armed thugs while trying to stay one step ahead of the dangerous tech. His suit was torn and bloodied, and he could feel the exhaustion setting in. Despite his best efforts, the overwhelming numbers and ferocity of the enemies began to wear him down.

He landed heavily on a rooftop, his vision blurring from the effects of a particularly fierce blow. The weight of the fight pressed down on him, and he struggled to stay upright, his breath coming in ragged gasps.

"Hey, get out of there!" Wade's voice crackled through the comms, filled with urgency. "I'm on my way!"

Peter tried to respond, but his voice was barely a whisper. He staggered, barely managing to dodge another attack. Just as he was about to be overwhelmed, the roof exploded into a frenzy of red and black as Wade, in his Deadpool gear, leaped into the fray.

Deadpool's entrance was nothing short of spectacular. His weapons were a blur, and with his unparalleled combat skills, he quickly turned the tide. He fought with a ferocity that made the thugs hesitate, and one by one, they fell. Wade's quick and brutal efficiency was exactly what Peter needed to turn the battle in their favor.

Wade's mask was slightly askew as he fought, revealing glimpses of his face. When the last of the enemies were subdued, he rushed to Peter's side. "Spidey! Are you alright?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.

Peter looked up at Wade, his vision still swimming, but he could see the genuine worry etched on Wade's face. "I... I'm not sure. I think I'm running on empty."

Wade quickly assessed Peter's injuries, his hands moving with practiced efficiency. "We need to get you out of here. Hang tight, okay?"

With surprising gentleness, Wade lifted Peter, cradling him in his arms as he swiftly maneuvered them to a safer location. The adrenaline of the rescue mixed with the relief of being out of immediate danger, and Peter felt a rush of gratitude.

They landed on a quieter rooftop, away from the chaos. Wade carefully set Peter down, checking his injuries with a tenderness that was rare for the usually brash mercenary.

Peter's breaths were shallow, but he managed a faint smile. "Thanks, Wade. I wouldn't have made it without you."

Wade's eyes softened, his usually playful demeanor replaced by genuine concern. "Hey, don't mention it. You're not getting rid of me that easily. Just hang tight while I get some first aid."

Peter looked up at Wade, the exhaustion and pain giving way to a moment of vulnerability. "Wade, there's something I want to do..as a thank you. I've been meaning to show you who I really am."

Wade raised an eyebrow, confusion mingling with curiosity. "What are you talking about?"

Peter's hands trembled slightly as he reached for the edges of his mask, lifting it carefully. As the mask came away, it revealed Peter's face—his youthful features marred by exhaustion, but still unmistakably him. The warm, gentle expression and the earnest eyes were laid bare.

Wade's eyes widened, taking in the sight of Peter's face. There was a moment of stunned silence as he absorbed the revelation. Peter looked up at him with a mix of gratitude and vulnerability, his expression a silent thank you.

"You... you're really doing this now?" Wade asked softly, his voice thick with emotion. "Showing me who you are, like this?"

Peter nodded, his eyes meeting Wade's with sincerity. "Yeah. I've been hiding behind this mask for so long. Tonight, I wanted you to see me—really see me."

Wade's gaze softened even further, his usual bravado giving way to a raw, heartfelt tenderness. "Oh... you're more incredible than I ever knew. I mean, I always knew you were a hero, but seeing you like this... it's something else."

Peter's hand reached up, brushing a stray lock of hair from his face, his touch light and reassuring. "I just wanted you to know that this—me, Peter Parker—it's all real. And it's all for you."

Wade's voice was barely above a whisper. "Thank you for trusting me with this. I promise, I won't let you down."

Peter smiled faintly, a wave of relief washing over him. "I know. And thank you for saving me tonight. I'm not sure what I'd do without you."

Wade nodded, his expression filled with a newfound respect and affection. "You won't have to find out. I'm right here, no matter what."

Wade sat close to Peter, his mind a whirl of emotions as he took in every detail of Peter's exposed face. The way the moonlight highlighted Peter's features, the vulnerability in his eyes—it all combined into a vision that struck Wade profoundly. He had seen countless faces, many of them scarred and hardened, but the purity and honesty radiating from Peter's face was unlike anything he had encountered.

Peter's gaze was calm now, his eyes still reflecting the exhaustion of the night but also a deep-seated trust. He shifted slightly, his hand reaching out to touch Wade's arm in a gesture of comfort. "I'm sorry for making this so personal, Wade. I just needed you to know who I really am."

Wade's breath caught in his throat. Every word from Peter seemed to amplify his feelings, making him more acutely aware of the depth of his emotions. The raw honesty in Peter's eyes, the way his face softened with each word—Wade couldn't help but feel his heart swell. It was as if Peter's vulnerability had stripped away all the walls Wade had built around his own heart.

Wade tried to keep his thoughts clear, but they kept drifting back to Peter's face, the gentle curves of his features, the soft, almost angelic look that had been revealed. It was as if Peter had become a beacon of light in the darkness of the night, and Wade was inexplicably drawn to him. Every second spent looking at Peter felt like an eternity of admiration and growing affection.

Peter adjusted his position, leaning back against the cool rooftop surface. His expression was relaxed, a small, relieved smile playing on his lips. "I didn't think it would be this freeing. I've been so worried about keeping up the mask, both literally and figuratively."

Wade's gaze remained fixed on Peter, unable to look away from the way his face lit up even with the night's shadows lingering. "You've got nothing to worry about. I mean, you're still the same guy who's been saving the city. Just a bit more... real."

Peter chuckled softly, the sound like a soothing balm to Wade's turbulent emotions. "Thanks, Wade. I needed that."

Wade's heart fluttered at the sound of Peter's laughter. He watched the subtle play of emotions on Peter's face, his eyes crinkling at the corners. It was as if every laugh, every glance, deepened his feelings. Wade felt a profound sense of adoration he couldn't quite put into words.

In that moment, Wade realized how much he had grown to care for Peter. It wasn't just about the physical act of rescuing him or the thrill of their adventures—it was about the quiet moments like these, where the world faded away and all that mattered was the connection between them. Peter's face, illuminated by the moon and marked by exhaustion, was a sight that made Wade's heart ache with a mix of tenderness and longing.

Peter's hand reached up to touch Wade's arm again, grounding both of them in their shared silence. "I'm really grateful for you, Wade. I don't think I could have gotten through tonight without you."

Wade's voice was almost a whisper, filled with a warmth that contrasted with his usual bravado. "I'm always going to be here for you, Peter. No matter what."

Peter looked at Wade, his eyes reflecting the sincerity of his words. For a moment, their gazes locked, and Wade felt his emotions intensify. It was as if every glance, every shared silence was drawing them closer together. Wade's feelings for Peter were undeniable, and the more he looked at Peter's angelic face, the more he felt his heart swelling with love.

As the stars shone brightly above them, Wade's thoughts were consumed by the angelic face he had come to admire so deeply. Peter was more than just a partner in crime-fighting; he was hope and a symbol of everything Wade had always wanted but never fully allowed himself to believe in.

And so, as they sat together, the bond between them strengthened with every passing second, Wade knew that his feelings for Peter were something he would cherish, even if he kept them close to his heart. For now, he was content to be there for Peter, to support him, and to let the unspoken affection between them grow in the quiet moments they shared.

For now, they had all they always wanted.

And now, they have someone to care about.

Now, they have someone who cares.

They have each other.
