Pete's Point of View (akshat12345)
It was dark, but Pete knew Nomis would still be awake. She had been a hobbit around her new egg all day.
Pete was going to her house to remind her to drink a de-aging potion. With all that's been going on, she kept forgetting, so Pete had to keep reminding her. If Nomis didn't drink the potion, she would eventually turn into an old lady. And they needed the nimble Nomis.
She had already aged some years, that much was obvious. But she could still fight like she was eighteen. If she missed drinking another de-aging potion, though, she might not be so good at fighting anymore.
Pete was walking down the gravel streets of Creektown. Most people were inside their houses or getting ready to go inside.
He passed by Steve's house, and saw him sleeping peacefully in his bed through the window. Pete wondered why he had suddenly collapsed. The others said it was exhaustion, which was entirely possible, but he wasn't sure. Jay and Kirai hadn't slept as much as Steve hadn't, and they were fine.
At least, last time Pete checked, they were fine. They still hadn't returned from their Manga rescue mission. Hopefully they would come back with Manga soon.
Pete arrived at Nomis's house. It was dark inside. He knocked on the door, and heard shuffling sounds from inside.
After a few seconds, Nomis opened the door. She looked terrible. Even though it had only been a day, she had bags under her eyes, her hair was disheveled, and her clothes were wrinkled. She still looked under the age of thirty.
"What do you want?" she asked in a flat voice.
"Hello to you, too," Pete replied. "Can I come in?"
"No," Nomis said sharply.
Pete looked over her shoulder. Her house--although newly rebuilt after the mutant Creeper attack--was a mess. Random items were strewn around the room.
"Have you had your de-aging potion yet today?" Pete asked.
Nomis shifted on her feet. "Not yet."
"You need to drink it," Pete replied. "If you plan on growing old, at least wait until this war with Herobrine is over."
Nomis blew hair out of her face. "I know."
"Still have that egg in there?" Pete asked.
Nomis narrowed her eyes at him. "What egg?"
"You know exactly what egg."
Nomis paused. "Yes, I still have the egg. But I covered it in cobblestone for when it hatches."
"Cobblestone can't withstand mutant Creeper explosions," Pete replied.
"Whatever." Nomis started to close the door.
"Drink your de-aging potion," Pete said before she closed it all the way.
He then turned around and started walking to his house.
Pete passed by Manga's house, which was where Jean was staying. The familiar flash of anger passed through his veins, and all he wanted to do was shoot Jean. But, he knew he couldn't, because the Resistance would surely kick him out for that. And he needed the Resistance.
No, if Pete wanted to kill Jean, he would have to make it look like an accident.
For a moment, his hand twitched towards his bow. But, he restrained himself, and walked past Manga's house.
Pete entered his own house and went to sleep, wondering what tomorrow would have in store for him.

Steve's Point of View
Steve was in a large empty field. He recognized it as the same field he saw in two nightmares.
But this time, it was real.
It was night time. Herobrine floated a few blocks off the ground, about twenty blocks away.
"You killed my friends!" Steve yelled. "Now I'm gonna kill you!"
Herobrine just laughed. His eyes suddenly glowed brighter, and a shockwave of energy pulsed out from him, pushing Steve back a little. A large crater formed below him, and fire appeared in a ring around Steve and Herobrine.
Steve realized he had full diamond armor on, and two diamond swords, one in each hand. He started to charge towards Herobrine, yelling.
The evil god raised his arms, and blocks of grass and stone floated into the air. Herobrine was going to throw them at Steve.
Zombies started to spawn and amble towards Steve as well. The wind picked up. Lightning flashed. Steve stopped about ten blocks from Herobrine.
"I'm going to kill you!" Steve screamed.
"Steve!"
Steve jolted awake.
He was in his bed in his house in Creektown. The sun was shining through his window.
Jay stood over him, looking at him in concern.
"Are you alright? You just screamed that you were gonna kill someone."
Steve rubbed his eyes and sat up. He had just been walking back from the city with Team C, hadn't he? What happened?
"Yeah, I'm good. I had a nightmare about Herobrine."
"Ah. Again?" Jay asked.
Steve nodded. After a few seconds, he did a double take.
"Wait a minute! You're back?!" Steve exclaimed.
Jay grimaced. "Yeah, we're back."
Steve's face fell at seeing his solemn expression. "Did...did you bring back Manga?"
Jay shook his head sadly. "Zaryn betrayed us."
"What?!" Steve exclaimed.
"He was on Herobrine's side the whole time. He was bringing us to his Master so he could erase our memories and send us back to kill all of you," Jay explained.
"Looks like he didn't succeed," Steve pointed out.
Jay winced again. "He kinda did."
Steve's eyes widened. "Did he get Kirai?"
Jay nodded. "I don't know what to do. All her memories of the Resistance, of the war, of me...are gone."
Steve remembered when he had his memories erased. He couldn't imagine what Ruby had been going through, with her boyfriend not knowing who she was. Jay was having the same problem with Kirai now. And it was all because of Zaryn.
"I knew we shouldn't have trusted that guy," Steve growled.
"Yeah," Jay replied. "Kirai's in her house right now, seeing if anything stirs up any memories. But I doubt anything will. I think we have to start all over with her."
Steve's heart sank. One of their best fighters was now crippled by amnesia. She wouldn't be as useful in battles if she didn't know what was going on.
"But anyway," Jay continued. "Did you get any info on how to kill Herobrine?"
Steve leapt to his feet. "Oh yeah! Jeb told me everything! Come on, we gotta go tell Jean!"
He raced out the door. Jay followed.

Secret was already in the Town Hall with Jean, discussing something with her. Donna and Diane were there as well. Jean saw Steve enter the building and smiled in relief.
"Secret told me what happened with the police," she said. "You should have contacted me. I could have pardoned you."
"Oh yeah. Why didn't we think of that?" Steve wondered aloud. "Are you going to fire Chief Russel after we kill Herobrine?"
Jean shrugged. "Probably not. I know what he says is wrong, but it's true. Politics are a strange thing."
Steve narrowed his eyes for a second, but then pushed that out of his mind. "Listen. I know how to kill Herobrine."
"You kept mumbling a bunch of random items on the way back from the city," Secret spoke up.
"They were ingredients to a potion," Steve said. "Making this potion and splashing it on Herobrine will kill him, according to Jeb."
"What are the ingredients?" Jean asked. She, Donna, Diane, Secret, and Jay all leaned towards him in anticipation.
"We need to get an ounce of glowstone dust from the Overworld," Steve said. "It can't be from the Nether."
Jean nodded. "That's easy. What else?"
"We need a Ghast tear from the Nether," Steve said. "We must slay the Ghast ourselves to obtain it."
"Slightly more difficult, but doable," Jean replied. "Anything else?"
"We need an ounce of crushed obsidian," Steve said.
"That was used in the potion to kill Notch, too," Jean realized. "I wonder if there's a connection there."
Steve hadn't thought about that. "I suppose there could be. But that's not important right now. We need to collect those ingredients as soon as possible, and put them in an awkward potion. Now that we know where Herobrine's lair is, we can march in there and kill him with it."
Jay nodded. "Let's do it!"
"I think we need to call a meeting first," Jean said.

Zaryn's Point of View
Zaryn didn't want to kill Manga.
He had never killed anyone in his entire life.
But, if Zaryn didn't kill him, Herobrine would kill Zaryn.
He had no choice.
He had to kill Manga.

Steve's Point of View
Half an hour later, the entire Resistance was in the Town Hall. They all sat in chairs facing the front. Kirai was sitting in the back, looking around at all the unfamiliar faces. Jean, Steve, and Jay stood at the front of the Town Hall.
Steve noticed Nomis was not in the crowd. Last he heard, she was still in Creektown. So why hadn't she showed up to the meeting?
"Attention, everyone," Jean called. The Resistance members quieted down. "We have some very important information." She gestured to Steve.
Steve stepped forward. "Fifty one years ago, Mojang killed Herobrine with a single potion. We can do that again, because Jeb told us what ingredients were in that potion. We need an ounce of glowstone dust collected from the Overworld, a Ghast tear collected from a Ghast we killed, and an ounce of crushed obsidian."
The crowd started murmuring. Steve waited for them to quiet down again. "Teams A and B, you will go to the Nether to collect the Ghast tear after this meeting is over."
"You sound like you're not coming with us," Drew spoke up from the crowd.
"I'm not," Steve replied. "Neither are Nomis or Jay or Kirai. You guys can handle it."
"You're funny," K.G said sarcastically.
Steve ignored him. "We have glowstone somewhere in this town, so it'll be easy to collect the dust. Jay, Kirai, Nomis, and I will go down to the mines to collect the crushed obsidian. We need to make this potion as soon as possible."
"What are we gonna do with it?" Audrey called.
"We're going to march right up to Herobrine's lair, and we're gonna kill him with it," Steve answered. "Jay knows where it is."
"And where is Manga?" Alice asked from the crowd.
"We were...not able to rescue him," Jay replied. "But with more of us, it will be easier."
"And what happened to Zaryn?" X asked.
"Zaryn has been working for Herobrine this whole time," Jay answered bitterly. "We're gonna kill him, too."
The crowd murmured in agreement.
"Anything else you need to say?" Jean asked Steve and Jay.
Steve nodded. "The war with Herobrine is coming to an end. He has no idea we know the ingredients to the potion. He has no idea we're coming. We will overpower him. We will win this war!"
The crowd roared their approval. Steve stared at them, defiant.
"Meeting adjourned!" Jean announced. "Teams A and B, pleas--"
Suddenly, an earsplitting noise rang out from the corner of the room. Everyone flinched and covered their ears.
The noise stopped, and the large television in the corner turned on.
On the screen was Zaryn, his wand out.
Steve seethed with anger at Zaryn. He couldn't imagine how much hatred Jay had for him as well.
"Hello, Resistance," Zaryn said. "You took me in as one of your own. But I betrayed you. Because I am a loyal servant to Lord Herobrine."
Some of the Resistance members booed and hissed at him. Someone even threw an egg at the television.
"As a token of gratitude to my Master, I am going to kill this prisoner."
Several of the Resistance members gasped, including Steve.
Whoever was holding the camera moved so that the Resistance could see Manga as well, who was on his knees with his hands tied behind his back. He looked terrified. The poor man didn't want to die.
"This is to show what will...happen if you attempt to defeat Lord Herobrine," Zaryn's voice cracked. He gulped and pointed his wand at Manga. It didn't look like he wanted to kill him. Maybe he was being forced to.
"I swear to Notch..." Jay muttered from next to Steve, his eyes glued to the screen.
Zaryn aimed his wand at Manga. Manga looked right at the camera. "Do what is best for Minecraftia."
"Shut up!" Tyler's voice was heard. It sounded like he was the cameraman.
Zaryn stared at Manga, his wand still pointed at him. His breathing seemed shallow. He was seriously considering what he was doing.
The entire Town Hall seemed to be holding their breath. They all prayed Zaryn wouldn't do it.
"Just kill him," Tyler's voice was heard again.
"Don't you dare..." Jay growled.
Zaryn made a decision.
He muttered a spell, and a blast of light hit the prisoner.
Manga's body fell to the floor, lifeless.
The television screen went black.

R.I.P. Manga
Will the Resistance get the potion ingredients in time? Will Zaryn forgive himself for what he did? And how will the Resistance function without Manga?
