Intrépide ~ Will Byers X Reader

Y/N's POV:

We all ran back into the house. Hopper sat at a table and grabbed a pen and paper.

"I think he's talking, just not with words." He drew what Will had said.

"Hey what is that?" Steve questioned

"Morse code." We all replied.

"H-E-R-E." We read the word. "Will's still in there. He's talking to us."

"Y/N. Do you think you could get into his head? Keep him going?" Joyce asked me.

"I mean I can try, he didn't let me last time I tried but it's worth a shot?" I answered. Steve, Nancy, Jonathon, and the party all looked extremely confused.

I walked back into the room and grabbed his hands. I sat down in front of Will and closed my eyes. I focused hard and when I opened them I was in the darkroom that El often goes to. I walked over to see in the distance Castle Byers. Sitting inside was Will. This was him, and only him. Not infected by the mind flayer at all. If I keep him distracted then the mind flayer shouldn't be able to control him.

Behind me, in the shed, I know that different people were talking to Will out there to keep him doing the morse code I just had to keep him going.

"Will?"

"Y/N?" he turned around and looked at me with tears in his eyes. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm in your head Will. It's okay. You're safe."

"But the shadow monster."

"Will. We are going to save you I promise." he started hyperventilating. "Will calm down, we need you to stay calm."

He took a few deep breaths before sitting down in Castle Byers, I went and sat down beside him.

"How are you here? I thought you could only join my episodes?"

"I-I dunno. You've missed a lot. It turns out actually that I'm from the lab too." I told him while showing the tattoo on my arm. "Explains the powers huh. I would have told you earlier but I mean, you probably wouldn't have listened." I laughed.

"I'm sorry Y/N."

"For what?"

"For not being stronger, for not fighting him more."

"Will." I held his hand. "Don't be sorry. I know you've tried your absolute hardest to fight him. I should be sorry for not preventing all of this."

"It's not like you knew it was going to happen."

"I-I... Yeah." I leaned my head on his shoulder and I felt him relax. "It's all going to be okay soon. Hang in there Will."

In the distance, I heard a phone ring and before I could distract Will, he disappeared. I felt an intense burning in my hands and was pulled back into the real world. I screamed and looked down at my hands.

"He's gone." I turned to look at them. "The mind flayer is back in charge, and it's almost like he hurt me for being in there."

"It knows. It knows where we are." Hopper told everyone.

Joyce gave him more sedative and we all rushed back into the house.

Hopper walked in behind us carrying two guns. He yelled at all of us kids to get away from the windows.

"Do you know how to use this?" he asked Jonathon.

"What?" he questioned.

"Can you use this?" (H)

"I can," Nancy spoke up.

We all got prepared for an attack. Hopper and Nancy holding guns, Steve with his bat, Lucas his slingshot, Mike even held a trophy. I grabbed some knives from the kitchen. Yeah, I might have powers but I sure as hell don't know how to use them.

We could hear the Demo-dogs circling the house. All the dogs screeching, terrifying everyone in the house. Suddenly the screeching stopped and a Demo-dog was flung through the window. We turned back to the door and saw the locks come undone. First the lock, then the deadlock. The door slowly opened and in walked a badass looking Eleven.

Mike walked towards her with tears in his eyes. They got closer and embraced each other in a hug. Mike pulled away and smiled.

"I never gave up on you. I called you every night. Every night for--" (MW)

"353 days. I heard" (E)

"Why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay?" (MW)

"Because I wouldn't let her." Hopper interrupted. He walked up to El. "What the hell is this? Where you been?"

"Where have you been?" she asked. Hopper hugged her.

"You've been hiding her?" Mike yelled and hit Hopper on the back. "You've been hiding her this whole time!"

"Hey! Let's talk. Alone." he snapped bringing him to a separate room.

Lucas and Dustin walked up to El and hugged her.

"We missed you," Lucas told her.

"I missed you too." She responded.

"We talked about you pretty much every day." Dustin smiled. El noticed something in his mouth.

"Teeth." El pointed out.

"What?" Dustin asked.

"You have teeth," she answered.

"Oh. You like these pearls." he then purred.

"Eleven?" Max walked up to her sticking her hand out. "Hey. Um, I'm Max. I've heard a lot about you."

Eleven walked right past her and stopped in front of me.

"Hi," I said awkwardly. "I-I'm Y/N."

She grabbed my wrist and pushed up my sleeve seeing the tattoo, placing her's beside me.

"Sister." she smiled and pulled me into a hug. I never felt so happy, this whole time Stranger Things was just a show for me. But now it feels real. I don't think I've ever felt this happy. She pulled away from me and smiled.

"Sister." I smiled back.

"What." Dustin gasped.

"The," Max added.

"Hell." Dustin finished.

Eleven walked with me to Joyce and she hugged her.

"Hey. Hey, sweetheart." Joyce embraced her.

"Can I see him?" El asked.

The three of us walked into Will's room to see him lying in his bed. He really looked horrible.

"He's not doing well," Joyce told her.

"He doesn't even remember any of us." I sighed.

"I know." she paused. "I saw."

"What else did you see?" Joyce questioned.

I walked El out to the table and showed her the piece of paper.

'C L O S E G A T E'

it read.

"You've opened this gate before, right?" Joyce asked her.

"Yes." She responded.

"Do you think if we got you back there, that you could close it?"

She looked up to Joyce and we all gathered around the table.

"I can do it."
