amnesia [reader insert]

Aomine Daiki a man who is easy to anger and slow to understanding. He knows he can't control himself and his anger. He says what he wants to say in the heat of the moment, acts on his emotions and regrets them later. Without thinking about the other party he lacks empathy only responding to his raw emotions. There were times he wished he could go back to fix every mistake he had made in the past, but we all know thats impossible.

So when he saw you laughing and playfully bickering with his rival he stopped. He was angry. A gust of emotions filled him as he watched the conversing.

'Why is he talking to her like that?'

'Why are they so close yet I'm so far?'

'Why is she calling him by his first name?'

'Why is she touching him?'

'Why are she treating him like she treated me?'

He was angry at red haired male who was being treated in a friendly manner by his friend. His friend for over 3 years, the person that he played basketball with. The girl his heart beat for, everyday since the accident he waited for her return. The way they were acting in front of him angered Aomine because it reminded him of their relationship in Teiko.

'AHOMINE!' She yelled across the court.

'What is it dumbass!' He yelled back with a smirk.

'You're holding onto the ball for too long for fuck's sake! Pass it too me AHO!' She yelled laughing.

'No way! Ima pass it to Kise!' He said as he stuck his tongue at her.

Before he could react (y/n) grabbed a spare ball and threw it straight to the back of his head.

He looked up and glared at her as she was laughing with tears in her eyes on the floor banging it with her fist.

'AHAHAHHA YOU SHOULD'VE SEEN THE LOOK ON YOUR FACE AHOMINE!'

He went up to her and squeezed her head. 'I'm gonna get you for that (y/n)!'

She released her head from his grip as she pulled on the bottom of her eye and stuck out her tongue running away. 'Catch me if you can DAIKIIIII!'

So when he heard the words.

'I'm sorry but do I know you?'

His body reacted with emotion. He wasn't thinking straight so he charged.

(Normal POV)

You stared at the male who was clenching his fists tightly. But before you knew it he had roughly grabbed the collar of your shirt with both of his hands pulling your face towards him. He glared at you gritting his teeth.

"Oi! What the fuck are you doing?!" Kagami said trying to pray off his hands but that only made Aomine's grip tighter.

You looked at him with emotionless eyes as he lowered his head.

"Why...?" He mumbled.

"Hm?"

He rose his head as he pushed you slightly making you stumble.

"Why don't you remember me?!" Tears were starting to well up in his eyes. Your eyes widened as you placed your hands on his shaking fists.

"You should know that better than me."

That was what pushed him over the edge he gripped your collar tightly before pushing you down the ground. His body hovering over you as you head made contact with the grass. It was your turn to grab his collar roughly as you glared back.

"Aomine let go!" Kagami said trying to pull him back.

"Shut up! This has nothing to do with you!" He yelled back to the red haired male.

"Taiga don't worry this is between me and him." You said as you looked at the male.

"Shut up! Why are you calling him by his first name! Why are you so close to him!" Aomine yelled pushing you back further.

"It's not my fault I don't remember! Let me go!" You said as you started to push back onto the male.

"It's not fair! I've known you longer! How could you just forget me so easily! There's no way you could just forget those 3 years we spent together!" Aomine yelled as he roughly picked up from up the ground as both of your feet made contact with the concrete.

"It's not my fault! You guys pushed me off the edge! If anything the reason why I don't remember is cause of you!" You said as you pushed him back making him release the grip on your collar, stumbling back.

"I didn't do anything! You don't know anything! You don't know what I've been through!"

"Well you clearly did something if not I wouldn't have forgotten you! Leave me alone!" You yelled back wiping the sweat from your forehead.

He walked up to you and grabbed your collar once more.

"Remember." He growled under his breath glaring at you (e/c) eyes.

"You can't force me to remember anything" as you clenched your fist glared back at his eyes. "I don't have a choice I want to remember but I can't! It's not my fault I got hit by that car if you hadn't pushed me to the edge that day maybe I'd remember! You should know that better than anyone!"

He stopped as his eyes widened and in a fit of rage he did the unthinkable. He roughly grabbed your collar once more before lifting you up and throwing your body to the side.

"(Y/n)!" Kagami yelled.

"Was I nothing to you?! All the time we spent! The games we played! How could you forget so easily! Did all of that mean nothing?!" He yelled at you as your body was laying down on the floor.

Kagami rushed to your side then turned to glare at Aomine grabbing the collar of his shirt.

"What the fuck is wrong with you!" He said pushing the male.

"Shut the hell up! Stay out of this! This has nothing to do with you! What would you know!" Aomine yelled back.

"You can't just push her around like that! She hasn't fully recovered!" Kagami yelled back.

"Shut up!" Aomine said landing a punch on Kagami's cheek.

Kagami stumbled back as he ran forward to punch the dark blue haired male.

"I may not know what happened but don't you dare come near her again! She hasn't even fully recovered and she's trying her best to remember! " Kagami yelled.

"You think I don't know that?!" Aomine yelled back. "I've waited for so long... I wanted her to come back but instead the first thing she says to me is who am I?! After all this time! How could she forget so easily!"

He expected Kagami to yell back at him but he didn't instead he yelled out her name. Aomine walked up to Kagami.

"Oi! (Y/n)! (Y/n) wake up!" He yelled shaking your unconscious body by the shoulders. And that's when Aomine saw it, his eyes widened realizing what he had done.

Dark crimson liquid flowing down your forehead.

Your wound reopened.
