'His greenie' | Newt x reader

Y/n POV
I could've only been asleep for about an hour before I was woken up by a loud crash coming from outside. I look over to see everyone else heavily sleeping, and I carefully began to step around them wanting to take a breather and clear my head.

I jumped at the sound of thunder just above the homestead. "Y/n are you ok?" I spun around to see newt standing behind me, wearing just his pyjama bottoms. I blushed at the sight, hanging my head down low waiting for the redness to leave my cheeks.

"I can't sleep. The thunder is too loud I don't like it" I mutter in embarrassment, scared of thunder? Great he must think your a catch y/n
"You want to stay up and talk for a little?" He steps closer to me waiting for a reply.

"Sure, we can sit in my room" I suggest , leading him towards the door, I put my finger up to my lips, gesturing for him to be quiet so we don't wake up anyone else.

We slumped ourselves on the floor, leaning my head on his shoulder.

After a while of sitting he spoke up "scared of thunder eh?" He laughs to himself making me get embarrassed.

"Dont be embarrassed love, I'm scared of spiders" it was now my time to laugh. Spiders really? The sight of newt running away screaming at a spider fills me with joy.

I lift my head up and look at him "newt.." I ask watching as he turns his head to look at me.

"Yes love" we were in the dark but I could tell his was looking in my eyes

I started to speak "I think I-"

"What ? What is it love"

I couldn't do it, I couldn't tell him I liked him instead I came out with something else

"It's getting late I think you should head back" I was now staring at the floor avoiding his eyes, but I could feel his gaze burning against me.

He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly "oh..yeah umm sure can't risk being caught" he let out a nervous laugh before standing to his feet.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" I questioned him hoping he wasn't mad at me

"Of course" he smiles at me giving me a quick kiss on the forehead before making his way back to bed.

Fucksake y/n really? 'It's getting late' shucking idiot.

I clambered my way back into bed , carefully stepping over everyone. I lay my head back staring at the ceiling. Eyes slowly closing.

"Pussy"

I shoot my eyes open and roll over to the side of my bed too see Minho staring up at me.

"Why didn't you tell him?" A smirk forming on his face.

"Umm.. how long have you been awake.." half creeped out that he was eavesdropping and half worried about how much he heard.

"Long enough" it may be dark but he definitely just winked.

"I don't know what your on about, you need to get your ears checked Minho"

I watch as the smirk drops from his face as he rolls his eyes. I roll back over into bed , yet again closing my eyes.

"Knew you liked him greenie"
I sigh at his comment before rolling to the other side ignoring him completely.

I close my eyes, blocking out the sound of thunder.. my eyes slightly get heavy.. darkness consuming me as I fall asleep.
