But as the years went by Aomine slowly started to change. He didn't show up to practice, he ditched class more often, and he spent less time with you. It wasn't just him, many of the others quit going to practice all together and you found yourself, most of the time playing by yourself or with Kuroko. It broke your heart to see your team fall apart right in front of you.

"Why aren't you coming to practice anymore.."

"Huh?" Aomine lifted his head up from his laying down position to look at you for a brief moment before putting his head back down. "It's a waste of time. No one can beat me except for me."

"What do you mean it's a waste of time? I thought you liked playing basketball?"

"Yeah but It's boring now. No matter how much I practice I know I'll still win. Why bother."

"Play me."

"What?"

"Play me. One on one. If you beat me you don't have to come to practice anymore. If I beat you... you'll come play with me again."

"Ugh... fine."

"I-..... I... lost.." tears welled up in your eyes as your knees it the floor.

"Tch. Don't act l high and mighty. You're pathetic and weak." Aomine said as he walked out of the gym, leaving you behind with your own thoughts.

You and Kuroko were walking down the street when you both caught a glimpse of a tuft of dark blue hair sitting in the rain in the grass. Slowly you made your way down there.

"Aomine.. Let's go to practice." Kuroko said.

"Practice? What's the purpose of practice. You realize that no matter what I do I win." He said slowly standing up. You clenched your fists as you dropped your umbrella.

"Do you want me to crush my opponents that have lost the will to fight even further?" He spoke.

"I.. I understand but.." Kuroko said.

"You understand? Hah!" He turned around to look at you two. "What part of it do you understand? What would someone like you who can't do anything understand about me?"

"Enough!" You yelled glaring at Aomine. "Don't you dare talk to Tetsu like that!"

"And you." He glared at you. "How would someone like you, who just runs around the court understand how I feel? All you're good at is running around all over the court."

"It's useless to grief over the impossible Aomine-san. But I want to pass to you with al my strengt-" Kuroko was cut off.

"Who's that pass for?" Aomine said. "No one can beat me except for me. I can win without your passes I can win by myself."

Aomine looked at the ground. "Ever since that day I haven't gotten a pass from you." He looked up with a distraught look, as Kuroko's eyes widened, he gasped. "I've already forgotten how to receive you passes."

"That's why you should come to practice!" You yelled. "If you come we can practice again together! You can receive Kuroko's passes again you ca-"

"Don't you get it?! I don't need you to win! I can win by myself!" Aomine yelled back. Tears pricked in your eyes hearing his words, you walked forward as your firsts clenched, Kuroko tried to stop you but you went forward.
