While sat in transfigurations the next day, you analysed your wand carefully thinking about what your father had told you regarding it's loyalty. It started to make you think that perhaps it really isn't useless as Voldemort believes.
You sighed, feeling frustrated you weren't able to ask your parents before their untimely deaths where the missing emerald stones are.
You heard chatter and looked up noticing Katie enter the room with Hermione, Ron and Neville. She smiled at you but Hermione pulled her to sit as far away from you as possible.
You looked down at your transfigurations book pretending you didn't notice them, feeling upset that Hermione still did not believe that you are against Voldemort.
Harry walked in seeing you sat alone, he joined you as there were no other seats spare. You kept your eyes on your transfigurations book, feeling nervous that Harry had sat beside you considering where you last left off with each other.
Hermione's eyes widened when she looked up from her parchment, seeing Harry sat with you.
"I spoke to Neville" Harry began, looking at you as he pulled out his transfigurations book from his satchel.
You looked up at him in shock.
"I'm sorry to hear about your parents... saving Neville was an incredibly selfless thing to do" Harry nodded.
You smiled but sighed, glancing over at Hermione.
"I wish Hermione would believe Neville also" You frowned.
"I think she's just being cautious, we've had our trust broken too many times" Harry replied.
McGonagall abruptly entered the classroom, rushing over to her desk. The class looked up, surprised that she was late.
"Sorry everyone, I was just caught up speaking to Professor Snape" McGonagall said, looking around at everyone as she quickly tidied her desk ready to teach.
Harry rolled his eyes as he heard McGonagall mention Snape's name, he then picked up his quill to start noting down the spell you were going to be learning.
"McGonagall should have become the headmistress instead" Harry huffed as he wrote.
"Why?" You asked, watching him.
Harry looked at you, perplexed that you had questioned why.
"Professor Snape hasn't done anything to help protect Hogwarts since the death eaters broke in the night Dumbledore was murdered. How can he not see that clearly the dementors aren't enough" Harry began.
You were quiet, just looking at Harry, noticing his body language becoming tense.
"Also he was no where to be seen that night, I think it is too much of a coincidence myself" Harry continued, sternly.
You remained quiet.
Harry looked at you due to your silence and took a deep breath, realising he was becoming increasingly frustrated.
"Who do you think it was?" Harry asked, calmly.
"I am not sure, I wouldn't want to presume and wrongly accuse" You replied, cautiously.
Harry nodded but had his suspicion and was sticking to it.
McGonagall was stood staring at you both for chatting while she was trying to teach.
"Sorry Professor" Harry said, putting down his quill to concentrate.
McGonagall gave Harry a nod, forgiving you both and turned to continue.
