PERFIDIOUS (READER X SEVERUS SNAPE)

Snape looked at you for a few moments with a bewildered look.

Although you had strong expression on your face to Snape, you felt concerned as if you had an hourglass of your life in your mind with only limited granules of sand left. However, this only made you more determined than ever so that when the time comes you have every fighting chance against Voldemort.

"The more power we have, the better chance we have defeating Voldemort... we have to try everything" You continued, nodding at Snape.

"Y/n whatever you're thinking of doing isn't going to work, believe me" Snape said, looking away with a huff.

"We have to try everything or-" You began but Snape looked back at you, his face becoming angered.

"You are to stay hidden until the war is over" Snape demanded, sternly.

"I am not hiding away Severus, please" You frowned.

Snape shook his head, looking down. He didn't want to even begin compromising your safety, his anger was fuelled by his worries of you getting hurt again.

"Surely if anything, collecting the stone will just protect me further?" You nodded, trying to convince him.

Snape sat quietly for a few moments, you watched him in anticipation of his answer just hoping he would agree.

"Where... where is the stone?" Snape asked reluctantly, his face started to relax as he tried to calm himself down.

"In my vault at Gringotts, but I cannot withdraw without a parent present and well of course they aren't alive... However, with Polyjuice you can act as my father. We access the vault, take the stone and leave... simple" You explained, confidently.

"But how we will obtain something of your fathers to make the Polyjuice?" Snape asked.

"If I quickly visit home I can search there" You replied.

You could see from Snape's face that he didn't seem confident at all.

"Severus, please" You frowned.

Snape sighed.

"If it means you are protected further then fine. I don't have any Polyjuice spare in my personal collection but I can have a vial ready for tomorrow morning if I cut some corners. I just need you to find a strand of hair or something" Snape nodded.

"Thank you, honestly" You sighed with relief, hugging Snape tightly.

Snape hugged you back, kissing your head softly but felt riddled with dread from his worries.

You then quickly got out of bed and pulled out your wand ready to apparate out of the room.

"Y/n, wait" Snape said frantically, rushing over to you.

He then reached into his pocket, pulling out your ring.

"Don't take it off again, otherwise I won't know if you're in danger" Snape nodded, sliding it onto your finger.

You looked down at your ring then up at Snape nodding back at him, he then pulled you in close and kissed you softly.

"Don't be long" Snape sighed, feeling reluctant to let go of you.

"I won't, I promise" You smiled, stepping away from him gently then apparating out of Snape's quarters back to your home in London.

While you were gone, Snape collected his equipment and potion ingredients placing them onto a table. He picked up his potions book and scanned his finger over the recipe trying to work out how to cut down the brewing time.
