PERFIDIOUS (READER X SEVERUS SNAPE)

THE ESCAPE

Mumbling to himself, he then began to brew the Polyjuice potion carefully while keeping an eye on the time.

As time passed, Snape noticed the sun setting over the horizon. As he was gazing out of the window you suddenly apparated back into his quarters and looked at over at him.

Startled, Snape turned but was immediately relieved seeing you were back safe.

"I managed to find a strand of hair on an old suit" You smiled, walking over to him carefully unfolding a napkin holding the strand of hair.

Snape took it from you gently.

"I still think this is a very risky thing to do" Snape said worriedly, hesitating to continue brewing.

"But the more power I have the better, what if finding the stones mean I can help end this all?" You replied.

Snape shook his head, looking away from you.

"Why can't we just try? Do you want him to win?" You huffed.

"I have told you already, whatever you try will not work. We are doing this for your protection and your protection only" Snape huffed then dropping your fathers strand of hair into the potion.

The potion bubbled as the strand of hair disintegrated. You kept quiet, not wanting to argue further and cause Snape to change his mind about helping you.

"Now, go and have some dinner please... I will continue brewing" Snape commanded.

You nodded and left his quarters, walking to the great hall. You sat with Katie and Neville at the Gryffindor table but Draco noticed you and walked over.

"So, you have a boyfriend?" Draco smirked.

Katie's mouth dropped in shock.

"I- well yes I do" You nodded.

"Who is it? Do I know him?" Draco questioned, raising his eyebrow.

You didn't reply, taking a bite of your dinner to avoid answering.

"Is it Harry?" Katie gasped.

"No" You replied instantly, almost choking on your food.

Neville looked at Katie in shock.

"She's got better taste than that" Draco snarled, looking at Katie.

"Mr Malfoy I never thought I'd see the day you would be over by the Gryffindor table" McGonagall said, appearing from behind him.

Draco stood back a little, laughing awkwardly.

"You'll have to introduce me to your boyfriend some time Y/n... so I can give him a check over" Draco nodded then returning back to the Slytherin table.

McGonagall looked down at you with a small smirk.

"A boyfriend Miss Y/ln?" She smiled.

Your cheeks instantly became flushed, feeling embarrassed.

McGonagall then walked off to the teachers table, smiling to herself.

You continued eating your dinner, keeping your eyes on your food but Katie and Neville were just staring at you in shock.

You could feel their eyes on you.

"Guys, it doesn't matter really in the grand scheme of things. My boyfriend should be the least of everyone's worries" You said, smiling at them.

Neville and Katie remained quiet, continuing to eat their dinner just wondering whom you could be dating.

Once you had finished dinner you left the table to return back to Snape's quarters.
