Chapter 77: Collapse

" G-god please!! Stop!!", Susie groaned in pain, claws clenching in pain, "Get off me!! Get off them!!", she thrashed against the floor before gripping tight and slamming her arm against the axe, the other crumbled and it hurled right into his face,

Obsidian stumbled claws curling, legs bent as he stared down at her, "There will be hell to pay your insolence.",

"Oh yeah?! Prove it!! Ya nothing to me!!", she laughed with a smug overconfidence. The room rumbled, creaking, clacking, smashing, the bricks spinning and turning around on each other, the hallway getting smaller and smaller.

His hand twisted slowly, fingers splayed out as the room collapsed in on itself. Rubble and dust pouring down upon Susie as she coughed, gagged, pulling her arm to her mouth running forward axe still in hand. The more she ran, the deeper an incline, she stumbled falling as the room tilted and spun, falling deeper.

Susie fell like a anvil, the drop near endless, the wind whipping at her clothes. The initial shock died in a near instant. It was just annoying. She breathed in deeply. Arms wide apart. Free falling. A free for all. This can end badly. The walls drew closer. Tighter and tighter, suffocating, like hands squeezing around her neck.

She swung, axe driving into the floor now wall. Obsidian looked down upon the gap in the closing chamber, "You are....persistent.", his eyes narrowed, he closed his hand as the room began to move quicker, the sound crashing, crunching, Susie's ears rang, insufferable, her jaw clenching tight as it could before her teeth would shatter.

"Rehn!!", a voice shouted. Obsidian turned wide eyed as a metallic fist slammed into his face sending him flying as the room started collapsing. Susie's eyes widened before she began to climb. One axe swing followed by a crawl, her movements ragged, her muscles sore and aching.

Her grip slipped and rubble fell making her yelp, "Shit!", she cursed.

Her legs kicked as she bore a tighter grip on her weapon, her other hand burning, the linen bandages didn't nothing to prevent the blood seeping through, the stains darkening, she couldn't use it no longer, the pain made her hand useless, she swung precariously off the hilt of her axe, the blue metal scuffed and scratched into the wall, she was a sitting duck.

Susie was grateful for whoever punched Obsidian in the face but it was at the most inopportune of times. She was left dangling for dear life and there was nothing she could.

Obsidian burst through the wall at her left sending her falling with him down the pit. Obsidian dug his claws into the wall. the heavy metallic screech of of his fingers making Susie wince before she smashed into a heavy block of stone. She flipped over it and caught on the edge panting madly, the stone was levitating. Susie's heart beat was off the charts, it would of burst out of her ribcage if it were possible.

"You are not here! You have long since perished you mirage!", Obsidian screeched up above. Obsidian roared in pain as a foot came crashing down on his face sending him spiralling down the pit of inky black. The unknown opponent stared at her. Susie could feel the world become still.

Black voids and green rings as eyes, glowing in the darkness. The person stood tall, the symbol on his chest. The same symbol, it was everywhere in the Dark World.

"Let peace reign and fear perish...Free the world with your shining light Light Bringer....". The figure raised their hand.

The voice. The deep voice. Worthy of God's. Metal contracted and contorted sliding and slamming across his face. The armoured combatant swung out an axe and jumped down the pit following Obsidian.

The room still crumbled around her.

The light ebbing and darkness consuming all.
