Never again (Tom Riddle x reader)

Recap: We walked up to a closed door, '' And this Y/N will be your room'' Mrs. Cole said opening the wooden door only to reveal... 'oh, boy!'

''What? What are you doing here?!'' I asked louder than usual to the girl in front of me-Rachel, my childhood best friend, who I haven't seen since we were six years old. 'My question is-why is she here?'

''I could ask you the same thing!'' sassily replied Rachel, ''Still sassy I see.'' I said lifting my eyebrow. ''Always.'' She said smirking. ''Well, girls I will let you get settled in and remember that supper will be at 17:30'' Mrs. Cole said while looking at her wrist watch.

''Yes, Mrs. Cole'' me and Rachel said in unison. Mrs. Cole rolled her eyes, turned around and walked out the door, closing it behind her.

''So, why are you here?'' asked Rachel, while patting her palm on her bed, nonverbally signalling for me to sit on the bed.

''Well, our parents sent us to our grandparents in France for the summer and never came back for us.

So, then my granperents try to get in contact with them, all of us even came to London, the police got involved, but nothing, it's like they never even existed so I started thinking that they just died, but nobody will tell me anything because I'm just a child.'' 'Well they're dead to me, no one should abandon their children like that' I thought. ''Stress took a toll on my grandmother and she got sick, later she died and grandpa got so sad that he sent us here, last month I found out that he died. Now I'm here, the third orphanage this month and hopefully my last...ever.'' I said looking in to her eyes, ''Okay, enough of me why are you here?'' I asked her, ''Remember when we were little and I told you that my mum had cancer?'' She asked, I just nodded and she continued, ''So than two years later she died.'' Rachel said with watery eyes, I put my palm on her shoulder to show her my support. '' After my mum's death my father started drinking and the child services took me away and now I'm here.''

''I'm so sorry'' I said while hugging her.

When I put all of my belongings in the right place, I turned to Rachel and asked, ''Should we go and get supper?'' she looked at me smiled and nodded.

As we went to the dining hall, I saw the boy who was staring at me earlier. I tapped Rachel on the shoulder, bent down to her ear and whispered, ''Who is he?'' motioning to the boy I was looking at.

''Umm, th-that's Tom Riddle. He's really weird, stay away from him.'' I looked at her confused, ''Why, what did he do?'' I asked her curiously, ''Okay, so once when I was playing outside, I saw him in the corner of the yard doing something, with his back facing me- '' ''What was he doing?!'' I interrupted her ''Shhhhh, be quiet.'' She said once we started eating. ''Sorry, please continue.'' I spoke quietly . ''Okay, so once he left, I got up and went to the place he just left and- '' she stopped, ''And, what?'' I asked. ''s-so when I-I got to the corner of the yard I s-saw the grass covered in blood, I was very confused, but w-when I turned around, I saw...I saw- '' ''You saw what?'' I asked softly. Now Rachel was sobbing, I rubbed her shoulder. She turned to me and put her head in the crook of my neck, and hugged my waist. I wrap my hands around her shoulders. As I rubbed her back, she whispered in my ear, ''When I turned around, I saw a dead pet rabbit of another boy, Billy Stubbs.'' I just nodded, and she continued, ''After Stubbs had insulted him, Tom hung the rabbit from the rafters of the building of Wool's Orphanage.'' ''Oh, Jesus.'' I breathed out. ''So please, will you try to avoid him?'' Rachel asks while going out from the hug, ''Of course.'' I replied, while softly smiling at her.

Then the dining halls entrance door busted open and in walked my little brother with a black eye and a scraped knee. As soon as I saw him, I stood up, he looked at me with watery eyes and said '' Soeur, s'il te plait aide moi.'' (sister, please help me) His quiet voice breaking my heart. ''Qui a fait cela?'' (Who did this?) I asked in a monotone voice as my eyebrows furrowed.

''Billy, il m'a traité de stupide, puis il m'a poussé au sol et m'a frappé au visage.'' (Billy, he called me stupid, then he pushed me to the ground and hit me in the face). I looked at him and said ''I'll take care of this''. I turned to my friend Rachel and said, ''Will you please clean him up?'' she said, ''Of course'' followed by a nod. ''Where is he?'' I asked my brother. ''I don't know.'' I just nodded and walked out.

As I closed the cafeterias door behind me, I looked to my right and saw a few boys. They were maybe a few years older than me.

I went up to them, smiled and asked, ''Do you know where is Billy?'' ''Now what's a pretty girl like yourself doing with a guy like him?'' One of the boys asked, ''Nothing, we are friends.'' I said politely.

''I don't really know but he's probably bothering the Riddle boy again'' One said with a shrug. 'Oh, things are getting interesting' I thought. ''And where is that?'' I asked, '' Third-floor left side, the last door, I think.'' ''Okay, thank you boys.'' I said politely.

As I turned my back against the boys, I sprinted to the stairs. When I finally climbed up the stairs, I felt out of breath. ''I'm out of shape'' I whispered to myself.

The walk felt like a lifetime until I made it to the last door, it was closed, but I heard two people having a conversation. I knocked on the door, it went quiet.

''Can I come in?'' I asked politely. After a long pause the door opened, I saw Riddle sitting on the bed with his head down, and another boy who is a bit fatter with pure rage in his eyes. ''Am I interrupting something?'' I asked sarcastically, '' N-no did you need anything?'' the fat boy asked, calming down. ''Well, I just wanted to know if you know where is Billy?'' I asked, ''I'm him.'' Billy replied. ''Good'' I said darkly while I walked it to the room and closed the door behind me, without even touching it. Billy looked at me terrified, I turned to Tom, but he looked, impressed? 'why?' I thought confused. I landed my eyes back on Billy and said to him ''Do you know who I am?'' He just shook his head 'no'. I walked up to him and punched him square in the face, he fell on his knees while holding his now bloody nose. ''If you will touch my little brother, you will end up being just like your dead pet rabbit.'' I said with the biggest smirk on my face.

I lifted my head when I heard hissing, I looked to my right only to see a snake in a cage, I smiled opening the cage and letting her slither around my hand ''what's her name?'' I asked turning to Tom ''Nagini.'' He said quietly, ''Cool.'' I replied putting her back in the cage.

''Well, I better go...!'' I said seeing that Billy was already gone, ''Wait, can I ask you something?'' Tom asked hurriedly, ''You already did.'' I said confidently. ''How did you close the door without even touching it?''
