Never again (Tom Riddle x reader)

''Alright, today we will be talking about Amortentia, can anybody tell me what that is?'' Slughorn asked as he wrote something on the board, my hand shot up faster than lightning, I looked at Riddle, his hand was raised as well. Slughorn looked around the class, we were the only ones, who had their hands raised, ''Miss Y/L/N, please.'' The professor said and pointed at me, I smiled.

''Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in the world. Despite its power, Amortentia does not create actual love. It was impossible to manufacture or imitate love. The person under the effect of the potion would only hold an obsession for the person who administered it. Amortentia smells different to each person, according to what attracts them.'' I said confidently, ''Perfect, 10 points to Slytherin.'' Slughorn said smiling, ''Please open your text books to page 345 please.'' He said and sat down, at that moment I realised I forgot my book, ''Shit.'' I whispered, I slowly raised my hand, and Riddle looked at me weird, ''Yes?'' Slughorn asked me, ''I forgot my book.'' I said, ''No worries, Mr. Riddle can share his book, yes?'' the professor asked Tom, he smiled and nodded, ''Of course.'' He said as he flashed a smile and pushed the book closer to me, ''You're lucky he thinks you're smart.'' Riddle whispered to me, I just rolled my eyes.

The few classes went rather smoothly, probably because Riddle and I didn't have them together, the day was really starting to look up until divination class. I went up the stairs to the north wing tower, I saw Dolohov and Riddle talking by the class's door, I finished walking the steps and went to the door, ''Oh, hey, Y/N.'' Dolohov said as he turned his head to look at me, ''Hi, Antonin.'' I said as I went up to the pair, ''How's the first day treating you?'' Dolohov asked smiling, his cheeks were softly tinted pink and his pupils were dilated when he looked at me, ''Oh you know, not so bad.'' I said as I put a strand of hair behind my ear and looked down, ''I'm sure with time you'll fit in just right.'' Antonin said and softly squeezed my shoulder with hand, I smiled at him.

After a while the bell rang and a crowd of the sixth years went in to the divination classroom, I was about to go in as well, but somebody grabbed my wrist and pulled me back, I turned around to see what was holding me back, Riddle, he waited until we were the only ones in the hallway, then he let go of my wrist, ''What do you want?'' I asked as I furrowed my eyebrows, ''I want you to drop the good girl act.'' He said as went closer and started towering me, ''Or what?'' I asked as I got closer to his face, my hand went to my pocket and I slowly pulled out my wand, ''I'll kill you.'' He said in a low voice, I felt his warm breath on my skin and I smiled, ''Not if I kill you first.'' I replied and pressed the tip of my wand in his stomach, he looked down, slowly exhaled and looked back up at me, ''You're smarter than I thought you were.'' He said and I felt something lightly stab my side, I turned to see, it was his wand, great, I put my wand away and looked up at him, I started hearing eerie sound and I furrowed my eyebrows, it looked like Tom was hearing it as well. I turned around and left the tower, once I was at the first full floor, I ran to the first girl's bathroom I saw, I ran to the sinks and looked at myself in the mirror, my nose was bleeding, I wiped the blood of and closed my eyes. The eerie sound finally stopped and I looked up at the mirror again, I fixed my hair a bit and re-applied a bit of face powder, my rosy lipstick and perfume. Once I looked presentable, I left the girl bathrooms and went to the library. Once I was finally there, I smiled at the librarian and went to the bookshelves farther away, I looked at the section names until I stopped when I saw the 'Forbidden section' I looked back at the librarian, she was reading something, most likely the daily prophet.

I went in to the forbidden section and looked around, all of the books were with a thick layer of dust except one, it was dark brown, I was about to touch it, ''Don't you have class?'' an annoyed voice said behind me, I quickly turned around, ''Don't you have class as well, Riddle?'' I asked back as I looked at him defensively, he rolled his eyes, ''What are you doing here?'' he asked, his voice a bit louder, ''What do you mean, I'm in a library, I am allowed to be here.'' I said as I got closer to him, ''What are you doing in the forbidden section, you could get detention for at least six months just for being here.'' Tom said angrily as he grabbed my forearm and pushed me against one of the large bookshelves, ''So what? Starting to care for me already, Riddle?'' I asked, ''No.'' he replied with no hesitation, Riddle's hold around my arm tightened, and I winced in pain, Tom's other hand shot up to my mouth, ''Hello? Is somebody there?'' the librarian yelled as she walked closer to the forbidden section, Tom pushed his hand on my mouth harder, ''I must be hearing things.'' She scuffed and walked away.
