So, this story was supposed to be a short one. And, technically it is short in terms of how many chapters there are. But, I got so carried away in each chapter, that I would end up writing an average of 3,000 words, when my initial intention was to keep chapters around 1,500 words. I just had way too much fun coming up with details that instead of it being a book that I wanted to be about a couple hours to read, it's double that! Then, the bonus chapters also happened!
I wrote this as a fluffy, smutty book for readers who need a tiny break from heavily angsty stories. I'm a huge fan of angst-driven stories, but I welcome stories that are just more on the soft side. With this story, I did fit a little bit of angst just to cater to those who like a bit of it when reading, but I wanted it to be more of a feel-good read.
This is my first Y/N (xReader) story. With some Y/Ns, in other stories I've read, sometimes the author will have qualities mentioned like height, ethnicity, last name, etc. The only thing I specify with Y/N is her age because I wanted her to be younger than Jin, Jimin, and their friends (with the exception of Jungkook). Other than that, I wanted my Y/N in this story to be ambiguous. I wanted, you, the reader, to picture exactly yourself when reading it, so I try to avoid specifics. I do show ideas of outfits Y/N could be wearing, but you could always picture something else!
Another thing I've realized, so far, in the stories I've written, is that I try to avoid toxic friendships, as well as toxic parents. While I'm definitely a fan of fan fiction stories with the drama that is brought by toxic friend and family characters, I really like writing people who are supportive and positive in the main character's life.
With the bonus stories, I treated them more like one-shots that connected to the story. I kept each member's love story open-ended so that, you the reader, could decide where you think their relationship would end up beyond what I wrote. Who knows, maybe I'll end up writing spin-offs.
