Interdimensional adventures - A TF2 X L4D2 crossover

*MEANWHILE AT THE MANN CO RED/BLU base, few weeks after the robot attack*

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT THAT THE GREY MANN IS ACTUALLY SENDING THOSE STUPID ROBOTS TO KILL US AND WE HAVE TO TEAM UP WITH THE OPPOSITE TEAM! - Scout scoffed while munching on his bucket full of chicken legs. 

- Ah could actually build a portal, which would get us out of here as far as possible. Ah got the entire project on my blueprints, 'cause damn Ah got enough of this constant fightin' aswell... - Engineer claimed from the kitchen counter.

-Then build it, Engie! You're the mechanical genius here, man!- Scout yelled with full mouth of chicken.

-But zat's very dangerous! Do jou know vat consequences ve might come across if ve're not careful?- Medic scolded. Medic is right, son. 

-Engineer agreed. - We don't know where the portal would get us. Believe me, that Ah would love to finish this robotic nightmare, but the thing is, that we could end up being even in another dimention! 
 Soldier jumped out of the kitchen with a bucket on his head yelling: -YAYY!!! LET'S TELEPORT OURSELVES TO THE NEW WORLD FOR A NEW ADVENTURE'S SAKE MAGGOTS!!! SNIPER WILL SHOOT SOME DUCKS AT THE SWAMP FOR US! 

-Heavy sighed- Heavy does not like  dat idea...

Don't vorry my friend, me too - Medic agreed while snickering at Soldier.

In the end, after the long discussion and debates, Engie gave up and decided to start preparing the blueprints and working on making the portal. Scout, Soldier and Heavy were chilling on the couch, watching TV. Medic and Sniper went to the workshop to check on their hard-hatted teammate and a great friend.  Demo was drunk as usually, fast asleep. Spy was in his smoking room spending time, doing whatever he was doing there. Pyro was minding his own business in his Unicorn Wonderland.

Engineer and and Medic spent few next days on building the portal and running different experiments on it. Right before another robot attack, the project was finally complete. Before mercenaries could head out to try it, they had to stop another wave of robot invasion.

AUTHOR'S NOTE
So the second chapter is here. All of the pics that i'm gonna use in this book are different screenshots that i took from fan movies, which belong to their rightful owners. Basically, in the TF2 world, there's a time of Mann vs Machine, where BLU and RED have to team up together to fight the robots.
