Interdimensional adventures - A TF2 X L4D2 crossover

When RED!Soldier was told to gather both teams, everyone curiously sat in the living room, waiting for BLU!Engineer and the rest of the group to arrive. The mercenaries were mostly waiting to see the girl, tho. 

Finally, when Sabriel appeared in the doorway with BLU!Medic , all eyes instantly landed on female, which made her feel shy.  She especially caught the attention of RED!Medic, BLU!Sniper and RED!Pyro.  Sabriel and the mercs, who were with her, sat on the couch in front of the others.

-Guys- BLU!Engineer started. -Remember, when Ah was workin' on a secret project noone knew about?- Everybody nodded to him.

 - Well fellas, it was a portal. But it's not like the ordinary ones we use here. The machine that Ah have built, brought me and the guys here,  into a new dimension. Some sort of apocalyptic world of zombie outbreak, that's where we landed.

-This girl here- The Texan continiued, pointing Sabriel- Her name is Sabriel. She saved our lives shortly after we appeared in her world.  We got attacked by the dead and if it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be able to teleport ourselves back here in one piece. Hell, we wouldn't even be here, Ah guess.-Engie scratched the back of his neck, smiling nervously.

Sabriel smiled at those words. The girl felt happy, safe and needed. RED!Sniper put his hand on her shoulder, as RED!Scout patted her head. 

-AFFIRMATIVE!!! SOLDIER SABRIEL HELPED BLU GERMAN MAGGOT HEAL ME AFTER WITCH MAGGOT ATTACKED PRIVATE TWINKLETOES, WHO I TRIED TO SAVE!- RED!Soldier  cut in, saluting.

-We appreciate that comment, Soldier- Engie laughed. 

- Anyways, coming back to the story...- The Texan tried to move on- Sabriel showed us the way to survive  a zombie attack and how to escape or fight off the Special Infected.

-Sheila is a good shooter, too, mate- RED!Sniper added, catching the interest of his BLU counterpart. 
-Ja, zhat's true und I can say, zhat Frau is smart und can speak foreign languages, including german! She also knows how to heal people- BLU!Medic jumped excitedly. 

That comment made the RED!Medic come a bit closer to the girl and the mercs on the couch, since he got interested in Sabriel's medical knowledge.  

-Stop it, you guys! It's nothing, really, don't embarass me..- Sabriel said, feeling uncomfortable. Never in her life had she so much attention from people, especially from guys. Of course RED!Scout had to mention her singing skills. He got that info from RED!Sniper. The thought that everybody knows that she can sing, almost made the girl want to run out of the room and hide from embarrassment. 

-Ekhem- BLU!Engineer noticed the look on Sabriel's face and tried to help her out a bit by stopping the flood of compliments towards the girl.

 When the guys calmed down a bit and shot  a few quick apologises, The Texan glanced at the men and moved on-  So, we were stuck in her world for several weeks. Ah managed to rebuild the portal and get us all back home.

Sabriel was alone with her horse, and if we left, she would be left alone with all of those zombies. So we basically decided to take her and Raya back with us. She will be useful with her skills against the Grey Mann and his robots. 

-And apart from the medical and shooting knowledge, can she fight?- The BLU!Spy asked. 

-That's pretty obvious.  If Sabriel couldn't fight, she wouldn't charge at the horde if Infected and slay them all. Besides, she wouldn;t even survive for one day and she's been like that for few years, alone and without help. -Engie sternly said to his BLU teammate.

- Spy, Ah know ye know better than that, pardner! - He scolded. 

-Heavy wants leetle girl to stay.- RED!Heavy stated. His BLU counterpart nodded in agreement,  approached the girl and asked:

 -Sandvich? - Sabriel gladly accepted and ate it, which made the Russian smile warmly and he hugged the female.

-Und may I ask jou a question, Frau?- RED!Medic politely asked. 

-Yes, doctor, I'm all ears.- Sabriel smiled at the German.

-Vould jou personally say somezhing about jourself? Like vhere jou're from, etc? - Medic curiously leaned forward on his chair. 

-Well... The guys have already told you pretty much everything about me, but... I was born in Ukraine, but when I was a small child, my family moved to the USA, and raised me there, until the zombie outbreak occured. And my favourite animals are birds and horses. -Sabriel said.

As soon as she finished her sentence, Archimedes flew down and sat on her shoulder, cooing sweetly and pecking her cheek, as if kissing it. 

Both Medics yelled "ARCHIMEDES!! NO!!!" But the pigeon ignored them and continiued to snuggle to the girl.

 That made Sabriel giggle and she said "hello" to the dove, scratching Archimedes's head. 

-Fascinating...- Both RED and BLU Medics said at the same time. It's rare, that Archimedes just snuggles up to somebody like that, without attacking them. 

The girl then smiled and said to both teams - I'm sure we'll get along when we get to know each other better!
All mercenaries smiled back and agreed with the statement. 

 BLU!Soldier approached Sabriel and saluted:- WELCOME TO THE TEAM, PRIVATE! 

Sabriel saluted back, what made both Soldiers happy. 

After a meeting, everybody went to mind their own business and do, what they usually do. 
The girl stayed in the room with with BLU!Engineer.

-Uh... Engie? Do you think they liked me? Will they accept me?- Sabriel worriedly asked. 

-Don't worry, darlin'. Ah know my team and ya can be sure, that they'll love ya- The Texan winked at her. 

-Thanks, dude- The girl smiled, waved goodbye to the Engineer and went to explore the base.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Well, I had to think a lot about the words to write this chapter properly. There was a lot of storytelling by the mercenaries to their teammates. 
We're closing in to the end of the story, I'm sad about it, but I just don't have any ideas of how to develop the plot. When i reread the story again after some time, I'll correct it and rework it.
