"Look, I told Hannah already, I have to go to work today." You said into the phone as you ran around your apartment trying to get ready for the day ahead."Must you go to work like a goody-goody?" Jessa asked on the other line of the phone. Her question caused you to roll your eyes, must she be a judge mental prick?
"Yes I have to go to work, because unlike you and Hannah I have an actual career."
"Ugh whatever, are you at least gonna be at the dinner tonight?"
"Unfortunately."
"Well at least I won't have to suffer alone. Anyway, bye bitch see you tonight." Without
giving you time to say goodbye, she hangs up the phone. You rolled your eyes, grabbed your keys and headed out the door for a day of hell. You wouldn't categorize your job as hell, the quite opposite actually, you'd label dinner tonight hell.
Hannah and Adam, that was the topic of dinner tonight. Hannah had another one of her 'I don't need him' feminist movements and broke up with Adam. You remember when it happened, because you were there to witness you all.
That day, you simply just needed to pick up your hair dryer that you'd left at Hannah's house. You even told her in advance that you were coming. You specifically told her not to pick a fight with Adam. As soon as you knocked on the door, the yelling started. You had already knocked so you couldn't turn back now, or you positively knew someone would be sent to the hospital.
Adam opened the door and immediately rolled his eyes, you couldn't blame him for doing it though. You did just magically show up when he and Hannah were fighting. In any just mind it looked like she had called for backup.
"Before anyone goes pointing fingers at me, I simply came to pick up my hair dryer. I do not want to be in this fight at all. Thank you." You said as you walked toward Hannah's bathroom, the last place where the hair dryer was. As soon as you turned your back the yelling started up again.
Once you got your hands on the dryer, Hannah was calling your name at the top of her lungs.
"Hannah, didn"t I say that ---" before you could finish she interrupted.
"(Y/N), just one question," you nodded your head, knowing you had no escape. "How would you feel if your boyfriend said he thought your friend was hot?"
"Oh it didn't even happen like that!"
"But yet you said it!"
"You call my friends hot all the time!"
"But there's a difference between when a guy and a girl says it!"
"OMG JUST TAKE A FUCKING BREAK!" You screamed, all the frustration you had held in finally coming out. Your scream had broken the two out of fighting, both looking at you like you were crazy.
"I have my dryer, I've said my piece, and now I'm leaving." With that you left, but the yelling continued. You were able to hear it all the way down the block; you had no idea how her neighbors were able to live with that constant noise.
Anyway, the dinner was just going to be a retelling of the story but from Hannah's view. She was gonna call him a monster, Marnie was gonna agree, and Jessa was gonna argue some drunk point that didn't make sense. All you mostly did throughout the dinner was try and figure out Hannah and Adam kept getting back together.
Your work day was relatively normal, except for the client who came in at the end of the day. That one genuinely surprised you.
"Hello, I'll be your nurse today. What can I-- Adam?" You asked as you looked over the guy on the examining table with bruises all over his face.
