EXACTLY A WEEK LATER, taylor finished her first day of shooting for her new music video, me!. she had filmed the first few scenes with meredith and olivia and had instantly fallen in love with a ragdoll cat that she'd decided to adopt, without telling sam. she had hoped that because they already had three, another one wouldn't be a massive deal- it wouldn't.

when she went home that day with the cat hidden in her jacket, taylor rushed to put her bag away upstairs. however, sam noticed the blonde enter and beckoned her to the lounge, where she was sitting.
"how was the video?" she questioned, watching her wife enter the room.
"good. we got quite a bit done. should only be a couple more days." taylor murmured quickly, placing a kiss on sams cheek.

as she turned to leave the room, the cat let out a short purr, making the blonde cringe and stop in her tracks.
"tay, did you just purr?" the brunette asked, her eyebrow raised.
"no?" the singer stated uncertainly. the actress studied her wife and noticed the way she was holding her coat around herself.
"darlin', what are you hiding?"
"uh... before you say anything, i couldn't help myself. he was so cute and was practically begging me to bring him home." taylor informed.
"what are you talking about?" sam inquired, sitting up straighter, her curiosity peaked.

the swift opened up her coat and presented the cat to her wife.
"ta da!" she announced, placing the feline on her wife's lap.
"you adopted another cat? we already have three." sam feigned shock, stroking the feline slowly. he began to purr affectionately as he rolled on his back, making the brunette smile. "although, that is pretty cute. the girls don't do that."

"so we can keep him?" the singer questioned, looking into the brunettes eyes.
"yeah, i guess. one more can't hurt." sam shrugged, "what's his name?"
"he doesn't have one. i was thinking benjamin though. for benjamin button." taylor informed, "gotta keep the favourite character theme going."
"benjamin button it is then." the younger woman confirmed, "looks like benji here has some sisters."

"he's a little purrball." the popstar smiled, scratching benjamins stomach, "as soon as he was handed to me it was non stop. it was love at first purr."
"hmm. where are the other kids?" sam muttered, watching as taylor walked out and came back with olivia and meredith.
"where's jo?" she asked.
"by the armchair." the actress pointed, "she's been hiding all day."

taylor walked across the room and picked up jo, stroking the grey cat as she purred quietly.
"children, meet benjamin. he's your new brother and you will be nice to him." she introduced, pointing to benji who was still sat purring on sams lap. the girls looked at the blonde blankly.
"you gonna ignore me? hmm? okay." she muttered, throwing herself next to sam. she kicked off her shoes and lay across the sofa, moving benjamin and laying her head on the actresses lap. it was getting harder and harder to do since sam was pregnant, but taylor still liked feeling as close as possible to her wife.

"imagine if blob is allergic to cats." sam remarked with a chuckle after a moment of silence.
"don't even joke about that." taylor said firmly, "that's a worst case scenario."
sam rubbed her bump affectionately as she laughed. "we're both cat people, they'll get the idea eventually."
"they better."

"the appointments tomorrow right?" taylor asked.
"yeah."
"okay, i'll get the crew to pack up early so i can leave."
"aight."

THE FOLLOWING DAY, taylor did as she promised and ended her day quicker than usual. her day was a lot more eventful than sams, the latter now spent her days playing with the cats.
