IN APRIL, SAM began filming for brooklyn nine nine season eight. taylor was tentative about dealing with three kids under two by herself at first, but she then realised that eddie and charlie would be on hand to help.

just before sam left, taylor released her first re-recorded album, fearless (taylor's version), which made the actress incredibly proud. she'd been playing it on repeat for her cast mates until it got to the point where her closest friends were completely fed up of her.

returning to the studio for the final season was an incredibly emotional time for the brunette. she'd obviously done it before with glee, and that was a bit more personal, but that didn't make it any easier. the writers had gone through the first couple scripts before shooting began, allowing the cast some time to catch up.

after sam caught up with her closest cast friends, stephanie beatriz and andy samberg, she dialled taylor's number- like she'd promised earlier.

"hey darling. 'sup?"

"nothin. just wanted to hear your voice."

"you were here two hours ago, sammy."

"exactly. that was 120 minutes ago. so, so long."

"anyways, how's the script? how are your friends?"

"my friends are good. there's only gonna be ten episodes, and that's kinda a bummer but it's better than nothing, y'know."

"yeah."

"what you doing today then?"

"i don't know. i think eddie is bringing kai around later so will will be occupied."

"haha. will will."

"sam."

"sorry."

"i reckon if i feed the twins and put them down, i can get some time in the studio."

"yeah. that should work."

"sammy, guess what."

"what?"

"i've decided what the second re-recording is gonna be."

"tell me. tell me. tell me. tell me."

"guess."

"1989, cause you're thirty one and that's thirteen backwards?"

"no."

"uh, speak now?"

"try again."

"debut?"

"you're not great at guessing, are you?"

"evidently not."

"hmm."

"so it's red then?"

"yep. i don't really have a reason for the order but i'm excited anyhow."
