Taehyung, an ordinary man who has battled loneliness in his past, meets a girl, Jisoo, who helps ease his solitude. However, their paths eventually separate. But fate intervenes, leading Taehyung to reunite with his past love-this time as her person...
"Mr. Kim, I'm the reason behind Jisoo's traumatic attack," Taehyung confessed, his voice laden with guilt.
Mr. Kim's brows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?"
Taking a deep breath, Taehyung hesitated before dropping the bombshell. "Sir... the murderer of Mrs. Kim... is my father."
The words hung in the air, leaving Mr. Kim visibly stunned. "What are you saying, Mr. Taehyung? This is a serious accusation. Are you absolutely sure about this?"
Before Taehyung could respond, an unnoticed figure nearby stiffened. Mr. Choi, Mr. Kim's most trusted confidant, had overheard every word.
Taehyung, however, was already aware of Mr. Choi's betrayal. He had long suspected him but had yet to gather solid proof.
"Mr. Kim," Taehyung continued earnestly, "I'll explain everything, but I need more time. I promise to uncover the mastermind behind this, as well as the mole hiding in plain sight."
Moved by Taehyung's sincerity, Mr. Kim nodded. "I trust you, Mr. Taehyung. Do what you must."
As Taehyung left the room, Mr. Choi slipped away to make a phone call in a secluded corner of the hospital.
"Boss, you were right," Mr. Choi whispered nervously. "Jisoo's bodyguard is Kim's son. He's planning something, and I overheard him saying he's after you."
From the other end of the line, Kang Jung, the infamous mafia leader, chuckled darkly. "Then don't let him live to see another day. Order your men to take him out tonight-no matter the cost."
What Kang Jung and Mr. Choi didn't realize was that their plan had already unraveled.
The man assigned to tail Taehyung had been captured, and every word of Mr. Choi's conversation was now part of Taehyung's carefully laid trap.
A Confrontation with Betrayal
"Mr. Choi, what are you doing here?"
Taehyung's voice cut through the silence, startling the traitor.

Mr. Choi turned, his face pale with guilt. "Oh... I was just informing a team member about a meeting I'll be missing. That's all."
Taehyung's gaze hardened. "Really, Mr. Choi? Or should I call you what you really are-a traitor?"
Panic flashed in Mr. Choi's eyes, and he made a desperate attempt to flee, but Taehyung was faster. His fist connected squarely with Mr. Choi's jaw, sending him sprawling to the ground.
"You thought your sweet words and loyalty act would fool everyone forever?" Taehyung hissed, towering over him.
At that moment, Mr. Kim's bodyguards arrived, restraining the stunned traitor. Mr. Kim himself appeared moments later, his expression a mixture of disbelief and fury.
"Mr. Choi," Mr. Kim said, his voice shaking with anger, "you were my most trusted ally, my friend. I shared everything with you, only to discover you've been working against me all along."
Mr. Kim's fury boiled over, and he landed a punch on Mr. Choi. In a flash, Mr. Choi pulled a concealed knife, lunging at him. Taehyung reacted instinctively, shoving Mr. Kim out of harm's way and taking the blade himself. Blood soaked his shirt as he collapsed to the floor, clutching his stomach.
Bodyguards wrestled Mr. Choi to the ground, dragging him away in cuffs.
Meanwhile, doctors rushed Taehyung into the emergency ward.

Jisoo stirred awake, her eyes swollen from tears. She spotted her father and immediately sat up, panic seizing her.
"Appa, Taehyung's father killed Eomma," she sobbed. "He's the son of a murderer."
"Jisoo," Mr. Kim said softly, sitting by her side, "it's true that Taehyung's father was involved in your mother's death. But that doesn't make Taehyung guilty of his father's sins. He and his mother knew nothing of it."
Tears streamed down Jisoo's face as her father continued.
"Your Eomma wouldn't want an innocent man to suffer, Jisoo. And Taehyung... he saved my life today. He uncovered a traitor who was working against us and put himself in harm's way to protect me."
"What?" Jisoo gasped, her heart dropping. "What happened? Where is Taehyung?"
"Mr. Choi betrayed us," her father explained. "When I confronted him, he tried to attack me, and Taehyung took the knife to save me. He's in the emergency ward now."

"No!" Jisoo cried, her voice breaking. "Appa, please... I can't lose him like we lost Eomma. You have to save him!"
"Jisoo," Mr. Kim said, embracing his daughter tightly, "he's strong. Trust the doctors. He'll pull through."
Sobbing uncontrollably, Jisoo clung to her father. For the first time, she fully realized how deeply she cared for Taehyung. The thought of losing him was unbearable, and she prayed with all her heart for his recovery.
