Forensic anthropology is the study of bones. Studying bones is important, because it help determine whether a bone is from a human or another animal. If it is from.a human, it can be related back to a specific body.
Bones are unique to a specific body, because it tells the gender and age of the deceased, as well as whether the person has any medical problems, if they had a child recently, and other things.
This also means that a body could have been deceased for 20 years, and anthropologists would have been able to determine who the person was.
